What formation do you play?
I constantly get messages off the board saying that they think im getting the best out of Ronaldinho. :p.

Spent the rest of my budget on Eto'o! Had actually £26m left but the board upped it to £32.5m to match Barcelona's asking price. I love the board :)

If you budget adjust at the beginning, they would have given you £32m anyway. ;).
 
Im find that im having to rehire 2-3 coaches a season to keep my training at 7 stars across the board. Do the youth coaches HAVE to have high youth rating, as my coachs all do both senior and youth, not all have good youth stats, but both are rated at 7 stars.

2nd season, not my best, won the league by 25 points, never lost, but got knocked out of the CL in the quarters. Still, league & cup + euro supercup aint bad.

Just finished doing a team clear out on the cheap, doing quite well, looking good for season 3.

DC: Barzagli / Kaladze
DC: Bonera / Atienza
DR: Lahm / Zambrotta
MC: Pirlo / Ambrosini
MC: Gatusso / Flamini
AMC: Ronaldinho / Pato
AMC: Montolivo / Kaka
AMC: Rosina / Gourcuff
ST: Shevchenko / Benezema

Its only 2nd August at the moment and i still have £35m in the bank.
Im happy using the above team for the next season, but im still gonna see if i can sign a DC to replace Kaladze early, a DR for Zambrotta, MC for Ambrosini & a AMC to replace Pato who will replace Sheva.
Mainly the DR though tbh.
 
Quick question..

Into the 2nd season with Valencia and just realised the arrows for stat progression aren't showing up? Does anyone know if there's a option to turn it on?

On the player screen click the view button in the top right, there is an option for show stat progression.
 
Started a game with rotherham edited the game to put them in the conference north.
Been playing champ since 98 now football manager so I need a bigger challange.
Now second season in the prem going good in 6th place.
Got lucky playing, ipswitch got relagated 1st season and i snapped him up in league 1 for 120k:)
been top scorer every season including 78 goals in 46 apearences.:) in the championship almost on his own pulled me through the leagues.

I used the same formation, 4-2-3-1 but not Memphistos version. Just my standard version.

Do you play this home and away vs small / large teams?

Yeah. The only thing i change is the left MC where Pirlo plays, to have more passes/long shots.
 
Anyone still playing in the FML beta? just moved to the new gameworld (GW22), be good to get a few games against anyone who can offer a bit of tactical advice :).

Had one and a half seasons in my last gw and really enjoyed it but im not sure if i'll be subscribing. We did fairly well, finished 7th in the league and won a few tournies but i just cant see the game lasting long term. In under two seasons the leading teams were light yearsahead of the rest in terms of their finances and quality of players. I just dont see the players at the bottom of the pile renewing their subs after the first month or two.
 
Ive found the past it doesnt take long to get a rep of World Class, but thats always been with a larger team playing in Europe, not too sure about other teams.

Currenly after 1 season as Milan my rep is only national... got some work to do I think :p
 
Just found a striker in my youth team with a PA of 189, and a fast striker ability rating of 84%!
That puts him at, iirc, as the best striker, potentially, in my game! :-o.


Whats A.Vidal (chillian) like for all you lot.
He's stunning in mine, 80%+ ratings for all of defence, DM, MC & ML.
Bargain at £7m. :p.
 
Vidal... looks a great player on mine! 21yr here. Only in the second season. Definatly a worthy buy.

Strange I just sign mine and leave them. I do try to get coaches with high youth ratings, say 17/18+, but if not I don't really bother. I think a world class coach with say 10-16 for youth coaching will end up being better for coaching the youth players than a rubbish coach with 20 for youth coaching.

As Marc said, he's a regen.

Its curently late october in my game, i have 2 strikers injured, 1 AMC injured, 1 MC injured and 3 defenders injured! Hows that for bad luck!?:p
 
Yeah, im coping. Just lucky that Atienza just came back from injury. :p.

Just noticed something. My save from Sep09 had Vidals best potential rating at 89.71% DL.
Now, in Nov09, he's at 90.52%.
Looks like having him learn DL in training seems to help ratings...
 
Nooooooooooooo...

32 games into my season and I've just suffered my first defeat...at the hands of 14th placed Bolton. Could have been my 1st ever unbeaten season. I nearly cried!

On another note, check out my team; think this is definately my "golden" year, most of my players are just peaking.

Have a look at my new star Hendriks as well-he is unbelievable! Been injured though :( Cost me £5mil a season ago :D
