tbh, I suggest you aim high and try to get youngsters. Wolves aren't the biggest club in the world but I would imagine they have a fairly decent rep in game terms. Try big the clubs youth teams and see if you can get your scouts out to Spain, South America and Eastern Europe; the Spanish U21 team is a gold-mine if you can persuade the players to join.

Speaking as a Barca manager; there are loads in our U19 team that I have happily promoted to the first team, and are playing well: Gai Assulin (AM); Gael Etock (ST) and Oier Olazabal (GK) are all very good players.
 
I decided after winning the quadruple with Arsenal to challenge myself with a new lower league game. They don't come much lower than Maidenhead in the Blue square south league!

Have signed a host of freebies to get the team to a more reasonable level and it seems to have worked as am sitting in 8th after 7 games - 4 wins, 3 losses. It seems I'm an all or nothing team at the minute! Need to change those losses in draws... Have been awarded 6 penalties in those 7 games so far.. I wont complain...

It feels a bit like playing the game blind after being used to the premiership and all those scouts and coaches etc! Managed to get a bundle of cash in for playing friendlies against Real Madrid & Athletico Madrid C teams - hope the cash might find its way into a transfer budget in the future...

I guess I should do some research about whether I should be offering full time or part time contracts etc and how to turn the club professional but one step at a time!

When you offer the contract to him, it'll either straight away be accepted, or they might ask you to Appeal if its turned down.

If it doesnt work twice or three times, you may have to loan him out.
 
Just signed Huntelaar. Should be one of my main strikers with Aguero, Welliton and Gyan soon, with Henry and Toni being ancient :p.

Quite pricey unfortunately, £28m + 15% sale on.

As im in 2011, was thinking Zigic and Villa too..but chose Huntelaar instead.

I have an immense striking force, should do me for a few years.

Once a few of my oldies are gone, ill have all under 30.

Henry is 33, Toni is 33, Bocanegra is 31, Malafeev is 31, Kleber is 30, Hargreaves (new) is 30. Then they're all under 28.

I really need to clear up my team though.. I have about 30 on loan i think, 29, just counted, lol.

Many who can be in the prem, easily.

Just signed Kasper Schmeical for backup when Malafeev leaves, cost me £4m. Sidnei for a prospect defender for £13m, Owen Hargreaves for £5.5m and Huntelaar for £28m.

Not bad. I think Zigic is about 28/29 on my game and will cost loads so it'll be either Huntelaar or Villa for me. Only got about £8m to spend (January) so I'll have to wait until summer and see if I can off load Saha (for £2-3m max I think :() and perhaps also Park for £5m and get some better replacements in or promote some youth players.

How good is Welliton in your game? Hes immense for me.

This season;

Overall: Apps 29(1), Goals 37, Assts 12, MoM 10
 
Hmm doesn't matter really which one it was. Both have zero appearances this season. :p

Last season however he had 36 starts, 22 goals, 4 assists, 6 man of the match awards and an average rating of 7.50.

I got him ages ago for like £6m, and hes now worth £29m.

Great buy for me.
 
Another guy that was good for me for a season or two (what season are you in?)

Salvador Cabanas, had a finishing of 20 for me.

First season: Apps 9, Goals 6.

Second season on loan: Apps 37, Goals 17.

Are you Utd? Isnt there a buy back for Rossi?
 
I'm finding that too. I'm sending scouts out to look for players younger than 18. The scouts are coming back saying, "Nada", in the local dialect of the region they've just been! :mad:

As for what season, it's January 31st 2009. I am Man Utd yes. No buy back for Rossi afaik. I do want him back. He looks very good and is at Juve now from Villareal so will cost mega-bucks. :(

I'll check Cabanas out now. :)
