i usually find when i get a lot of yellows to get some coaches / assit man that has high discipline. A straight red is always at least 1 weeks fine. Players will accept the fine 95% of the time although its not failed for me yet.

Er not really. I don't often have a situation where I'm losing games all the time or a player isn't giving his best. But yeah warning a player when he's not doing very well might work.
 
well every now and then i get the odd '5' i beat inter milan 4 - 2 in my last game before i saved and left work :D and my rightback had a 5 maybe should have clamped down on him

i will try coming down on poor performers, i'm at Milan now, started off at saints and won the prem with them, was doing well mid season and Milan came in, could not say no :)
 
had that problem with the board and my atletico team mate, they were satisfied although i had exceeded all expectations.

basically come the end of the season they even came out and said they wsould not be offering me a new contract (contract was up June 30th) anyway about 3 days later they offered me a much inproved contract and were over the moon with my performance.

so basically dont worry too much about it yet, rideit out and see what happens come the end of season summary as it were :)

so will we not get the full benefits of the upgrade unless we over again? i was thinking of doing that anyway, as i only have England, Spain & Italy selected. limits your choice after a few seasons.
 
Full benefits of the upgrade? Do you mean the match engine or the data? The match engine and stuff you should see straight away. The data patch (transfers etc) will need a new game yes.

I've read on SI Games that the 7 bench sub in the Premiership rule will kick in in either 2008/2009 if you haven't got there yet or if you are past it, which mostly likely you are, will kick in the first new season after your current one. :)
 
After taking reading into UEFA cup Semi finals I decided to take on the England job from the beginning and do what Steve McCantqualify couldnt do. I've so far played my first friendly against Germany and thrashed them 3-0. The punters love it quoting its always good to get one over the arch enemy lol.

However at my next game i decide to visit stamford bridge to watch Chelsea take on the Spurs.

PS. International management is great when your at work lol. No need to worry about contracts or buying players just hit space bar, alt tab. wait for a game to watch or team selection. Yakeshemesh!
 
i only play FM at work, that's the only place it's installed... on start up it says i have played for 17 days since i got it. i would be upset if that was my own time.
 
Well thanks for the advice on the previous page guys.

Currently in september of my first season at Arsenal and haven't lost or drawn yet, so something is definatley working :D (for now anyway)
Only thing i'm considering now is wether to bring in some more players. Denilson asked for a transfer because he can't get in the first team and i need a backup keeper for Almunia as Jens is abit inconsistent and Fabianski is in the reserves for now.

At least now i'm actually enjoying the game, this game was 'almost' starting to stress me out!

Anyone got any tips for a good training schedule?

If you installed the patch you wouldn't get the data updates, you need a new game for that. All you would see would be the new match engine and any game bugs fixed. Course that means that your tactics could be rendered useless by the updated match engine.

If you are on 8.0.0 then you are obviously OK without any patches so you might as well stay with 8.0.0 and just install the 8.0.2 patch if and when you start a new game. :)
 
Does it fix the striker 1on1 bug?
I might as well install it and re-do my tactics to suit.
That way if i start a 8.0.2 game, i have some tactics prepared.:).
