well gonna start a new game and have the cd here, so maybe a wipe would be the best bet if it goes boobs up

What you say reminds me of a problem I had with FM07 I think it was. I downloaded edited db's and unpacked them, used them and then re-packed them into 7-Zip as the compression was better. This caused me a problem when I unpacked the db again though, the editor wouldn't see the database and nor would the game.
You haven't mentioned anything like this so I doubt this is the problem.
Yeah might be best to remove the game and all the folders in your My Docs then re-install. Apply 8.0.1 patch then 8.0.2 then you should be OK.

i wonder if it is that i missed the 8.0.1, i have tried lots of things now and at a loss, posted on the SI forums, but no reply as yet. thinking reinstall myself.

she's a teacher and on half term, she stayed over last night hopefully being on holiday she will give my house a good tidy... i told her FM08 is a database i need for work......... which is close to the truth,.,,,

When I worked in a school I played Solitaire a heck of a lot.
Thank God I had my own laptop. I could hide the screen from the students who would have had me for telling them off for playing games and logging into Hotmail.

she she has he own place and i rent with two mates, she is coming down to my work in about 15 mins, i have both patches downloading now. will wipe and delete all trace of the game. first thing i do when i get to work is load FM
