Just got Hyde back into the Premiership, winning the Championship in doing so. Much more convincing than the playoffs last time! :D 100 points and 100 goals. Can't really argue with that! :D

So now moving into the brand new 18,000 capacity Waywell arena as a Premiership Club :)

Being linked with Chelsea, Tottenham, Athletic Bilbao, Roma and Milan jobs at the moment, not sure whether I'd take them or not.... EDIT: Make that Arsenal as well! And just had to turn down the Chelsea job. Their squad is unreal, but I just can't do it!!

so just started a new game with Paris St G, thought i would try again with more leagues the latest update and the large database.

so who would you sign first off? what are the essencial top 5 buys? i gave myself 30 mil to start off with :)
 
i need a RB, LB and AMC - but could do with getting some good guys all around the park, PSG finished 15th last year in France, so they are not great

Hello again.

Its been a long time since I last posted on this thread, and it was only about 6 pages long I think.

I have dabbled in Ligue 1 with Lyon and can confirm it is a very hard league to attract players to from the start. Fortunately, at PSG you have a superb DMC in Didier Digard to keep you going for a long time, and should you decide to sell, you can claim a large stash of cash.

However, I notice you have given yourself a healthy cash injection, so obtaining players wont be too difficult.

You can look at obtaining the cheat player Mika Aaritalo as a good option and others include Rakatic, Modric for AMC.
 
Not read through all of this thread bit how does everyone find the AI compared to other incarnations of the FM Series ?

I got this the other night and usually if I go straight in as Man Utd they win naff all with most players being inconsistent and not trusting of a relatively unknown manager. However in '08 you can pretty much go on auto pilot and win all your games. I won the prem and runner up in the Champs League without breaking a sweat.

Im thinking of having a dabble with Napoli in Serie A or maybe even Forrest in Div 1
 
I don't find that Loki. If I use a default tactic modded a bit or even a downloaded tactic I will lose to teams I shouldn't and be out of the cup comps too early for Utd. Probably just means I'm rubbish. :p:(
 
how is Rodrigo Palacio doing in your game? i brought him for 8mil on a tip off, but the fans hate him and he bangs in 6 or 7 match rating - quite poor so far

is this after patch?

before patch he was quite amazing... before patch i think he worked best as lone striker and 1-3 Attacking MF.. doing through balls ^_^
 
Pre-patch he is amazing, and on my recommendation everyone here is now using him. After the patch, I dont know, not tried signing him, but pretty certain the Swedish second division wont be his first choice destination.

swedish 2nd div? i'm PSG french top league, his finishing is 12... so i think i should have been a bit wiser!
