Ok well Antony Vanden Borre is another good one, no idea how much he would cost. I have a good right back called Ramon who I got from Bahia, plays well as a center back as well.

Not a criticism as such but....

....when someone asks for a right back, SURELY they must know about players like Alves already. Its like when you read someone ask "I'm short on a centre forward, who should I go for?" and someone replies "Henry is pretty good I think, Van Nistelrooy not bad either. Check them out!"

Just seems a bit silly!
It depends how far into the game you are, no pointing in signing Henry at 34, when a lesser known player 4 years into the game turns out to be just as good if not better.
Plus, its often more rewarding to find youngsters who arnt good, and train them yourselves.
Some of the often mentioned wonderkids arnt guaranteed to be world class.
:).

Its also worth looking into Christoper Samba, i bought him fairly early into the first season and Bakary Sagna. I have both at Arsenal and both are consistent and reliable. Samba is tall and can play in the centre and on the right, whereas Sagna is good for running down the flanks etc.

I see your point. However; I was commenting on Cassani, rather than recommending a super-seekrit RB :)

Ratinho, Rafinha, Husyev, Volz, Cassani, Alves are all good right backs.

I second the signing of Rafinha, he is an outstanding right back, and can also play winger. In my Spurs game (before it become corrupt) he was first choice, and with Marcelo on the left I had two outstanding wing backs.

Started a new game now though, as my old game become corrupt. Now playing as Milan as fancied a change of scenary as North London is pretty dull after 7 seasons of successful management.

Strengthened the midfield with the acquisitions of Alberto Zapater and Miguel Veluso as Pirlo and Diogu won't be able to play every game as holding players in my 5-man midfield.

Has anyone else played as Milan who can advise if Gilardino is worth keeping hold of? I have no cash left to replace him with, but he has a fair bit of interest in him at the moment, just no firm offers. Also, Pato is ineligible at the moment, not looked why as not had to play any games so not tried to rectify the problem.

Not playing as Fulham then? :D

Where are you going to move to? Italy, Spain or somewhere else?

Haha, won everything i can with Fulham.

Not sure, ive managed in Spain a few times during the FM series.

Might try AC Milan, or something like that.

I like spending money with clubs :p.

I guess its out of Juventus, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Barcelona, Real Madrid and a few of the other clubs.

Ive managed in Netherlands too.

Isn't that taking db editing a bridge too far?!

Hmm I'd probably want to manage in Spain at Barca or Valencia before heading for Italy. :)

Inter Milan? :p

Translated: "I like giving clubs lots of money so I can spend it". :D

It'd be AC Milan, Barcelona from that list and possibly Valencia for me. :)

Ive managed in Netherlands too.
At least you didn't say Nether regions. :D

I think cheating is silly, it doesnt get you anywhere, just ask Chelsea :p

I think you might be right with the Pato comment, hopefully he turns 18 soon then, don't want to be waiting too long relying in Gilardinho and the ageing Inzaghi.

If you want an overseas challenge, try somewhere like the Swedish 2nd Division, I have a save in that league and boy it isn't easy, started with no actual playing staff and about £5,000 to spend on acquiring a squad before the start of the campaign.

I usually run the English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Dutch leagues in full and then one other league where I like to have a dabble in management.

Heh, i only cheat in fun games, i was joking about the cough :p.

I run Italy, Spain, England, Netherland, French, German and Brazilian leagues.

Started a game with AC, but may have anothe game save somewhere else too.

Need someone to replace strikers.

Made a few signings so far, all fairly cheap, Marcelo, Juninho, Thiago Neves and Clerc. Then a few youngsters on frees.

Heh.

Pato is a great striker at the moment, without the ban too.

Its really annoying, so gotta sign someone else.

I forgot about the Non-EU signing of players too.. grr.

Wow, a lot of leagues.
