Update on my game in Blue Square South.

Played 33 games, won 21, drawn 9 and lost 3, totalling 72 points and am 1st.

I had a few suprise wins, which has boosted me in the league, stretching the league spot by 11 points with 9 games left :).

Top Scorer is Lee Paul, scoring 21 goals in 21 appearances, in the league and 36 in 33 overall.

Going well.

Are you using the tactic you posted a screenie on the previous page?

I actually can't find my disc :( I took it out of the dvd drive last week to play Vampire Bloodlines again, and now i can't find it :( The lesson here is never play another PC game.

not to promote piracy but since you legitimately own the game and i presume you still have the CD key.. cant you download the ISO, and just mount it? i seem to recall that we can back up any DVD or game as long as we own the original...

I have no idea on the legality, but seeing as I have purchased every CM/FM since 93/94 I feel entitled to use an image now I can't find my disc :)

Am definitely in the play offs this season, two points clear, and two games left, am winning this game so hopefully the other team lose their game.

oh dear!!

i just one 7 - 0 lol! :p

Only just noticed you have used the editor to include yourself in the game, sneeky ;)

Whats all this talk about the french 7-0 style tactic? :p

Pretty similar to the formation that I use at home. The same formation but with different arrows. I have the 2 outside AM moving outwards instead of back to MR / ML. I find its a great tactic at home and against the 'easier' teams.

Away from home, its a simple 4-4-1-1 tactic with the MR and ML pushing forward and a MC moving to DM position. I find it solid at the back. Even more impressive than my home tactic, but not as good in attack.

Changing laptop's at the mo, so havnt been on the game for ages now, cant wait to started again with my Chelsea team. Should be a little quicker now loading too :p

Promoted into Blue Square Premier..and gotta try cope with the same team from last season, been given £0 :(. Freebie hunting time :(.

Freebie hunting is good fun, especially at that level. Usually when I play non-league football I never make a monetary signing and rely heavily on my parent club and any loan signings from the football league I can acquire.

The money is so poor at that level anyway, spending it leads to financial problems more often than not.

I didn't spend a penny on transfer fees until I had reached the Championship. Even then they may as well not have given me a penny. Budget was about £350k. Spend £190k of it.

I spent £6k on a player, he was a striker from League 2.

My top goal scorers, keeper and all defenders were free too.

Wow this is getting hard, i was getting thumped 3/4 nil in the first games.

Currently;

Played 22, Won 7, Drawn 4, Lost 11 and sitting in 19th which is OK at the moment, but want to challenge for a mid table spot, so need to get a few wins.

My Current performers are Simon Dawkins (Spurs) and Ismael Ehui (Fulham) on loan, Dawkins with 11 goals in 19 and Ehui with 9 in 21.

i would not mind testing your away tactic mate,

Only just noticed you have used the editor to include yourself in the game, sneeky ;)

yeah not ever tried to hide that, i always start with me in the games, 16 year old wonder kid :)

What a piece of business, looks like im selling Lee Paul for ~£200k! A few clubs were offering money for him, and i just kept upping it, and then they've actually bid £200k!

--

Ended up selling him for £230k (after a few appearances), but £200k upfront to Wigan who are in the championship. Ended up i only got given £11k of the transfer fee to spend!

Anyone know how to edit the game/xml stuff so that the light red that Man Utd gets displayed as on some screens at the top can be darker? Happened with the 8.0.2 patch and seems a bit Liverpool/Arsenal-ey for me. :)
