***** The Official Galaxy Nexus Thread *****

Ergh I love my launch GNex but it is starting to get a bit cranky.... GPS goes funny sometimes and the wifi signal is terrible... sometimes wifi and 3g completely drop out if the signal is weak.

Think it'll soon be time to replace it, providing there are more decent options in the next few months.

I installed that Easy Battery saver, seems to have helped a lot.

At 16% with 20hours standby and 3 hours screen time.

Also, when trying to connect my phone to my macbook via USB, it doesn't show up?!

Used my Nexus in the Samsung dock at the weekend for navi and the audio level is really low, not plugged in an external speaker yet. Has anyone tried an external speaker or any other ways to increase the phone audio level so you can hear it better?

From my research since getting this phone, there was a fix to increase volume in Ice Cream Sandwhich, but since Jellybean there isn't an update on this fix.

Galaxy Nexus has a very low output generally.

I have only just found this particular thread, so haven't had time to read the preceding 200 or so pages yet!

I was going to sell my Galaxy S2, but have passed it on to my wife, and purchased a SIM free Nexus from Amazon, as I still have another 12 months to wait before I can upgrade.

Just been setting it all up, and was pleased to be offered an immediate update to Jelly Bean... Wi-Fi only until tomorrow apparently!

My next task was to install just the Apps I use regularly, and to set up Facebook, Skype etc.

I am very impressed with the phone so far, and particularly like the styling... and also the painless Jelly Bean update.

Now to read a bit more of this thread! :)

Thanks for the link, but I had in fact managed to find it earlier, and found it very useful in being able to choose which apps I really wanted to have on my new phone.

For some reason I never really seemed to get on with my S2, but now with JB on the Nexus it already seems a lot more like my kind of phone!
