I call BS on those that claim to have taken delivery. Nobody on this forum has actually got one. ...if they had then they would know whether the sound quality was sweet... or stinky.
The fairly depressing behaviour in this thread has limited my willingness to post about mine, which was delivered Friday. Frankly I'm amazed that folk have got so stressed over something so totally, totally trivial. I guess they are fortunate to have less complicated lives than me, and fewer sources of stress.

I wasn't expecting mine until next Friday and as long as I get tracking info when an item's on the way, I'm happy.
Anyway, FWIW I'm very happy with my N7 and contemplating selling my iPad3. They're not directly comparable devices, but the smaller form factor suits my needs well, and it's a lot more portable and less obtrusive in public... for instance when stuck at Euston for over two hours on Monday while they scraped some poor sod off the line up near Hemel.
The onboard speaker is worse than the iPad but much better than my CULV laptop. I haven't tried headphones because my phone's my mobile podcast system, and it's 20+ years since I listened to much music, so I don't need hi-fi quality kit any more.
I hope the mood here improves over the next week. It certainly ought to, because this is a lovely bit of kit IMO. The reviews can be believed for once. However it is just another tech toy, it is not worth getting upset over... Not unless you're the poor person at Google trying to coordinate a release which has been significantly complicated by the actions of a few disobedient etailers. I doubt any of them will be getting much stock if/when the Nexus10 is announced.
