**** The Official Google Pixel 2/Pixel 2 XL Thread ****

I'm kinda tempted by the pixel 2.. the cheapest one. about as much as i want to spend. Will have a look at some hands on first before i look. Replace my 5x.

I'm thinking the same to be honest

£170 extra just for a higher res screen and thin bezels....mmmmmm the bezels arent even that thin
 
This thread really does highlight a massive problem for Google. The iPhone X is being marketed as the phone to have this year with wireless charging, a better screen, a better camera and the fastest mobile CPU available. I might be speaking out of term but based on what I've read on this and other forums most Apple fans would buy it in a heartbeat if they could afford it.

The Pixel 2 XL appears to match or beat that phone in every category bar the CPU yet you could be mistaken for thinking they've just announced a calculator today.
 
I'll happily keep my Pixel XL if Google would just admit that there's a Bluetooth issue with the Oreo upgrade and get it fixed! I would love to get one of the 6+ inch phones but after this reveal the only option is really the Note 8 and I don't think I could go back from stock android.
 
Google need to get in touch with their customers on the price point because the Pixel 2 is going to end up as popular as the Pixel. How the hell can they get things wrong again?

Think I'll stick with an S8 or S8+ to move to when my 6P dies.
