**** The Official Google Pixel 3 Thread ****

Because the Pixel 1\2 did not sell very well. I was hoping the Pixel 3XL would have it all. But no, so roll on the Pixel 4XL
Regardless it will not be dropped to £400. Those days are long gone.
Just because Xiaomi dropped a £400 phone with the 845, doesn’t mean google must follow suit. I’d imagine the 3XL costs more to make than the xiaomi phone.

What are you looking for in the 4XL out of interest? That’s seemingly missing in the 3XL

It's £300 in the UK. And with sdcard :)

xiaomi don't make profit from their phones but they do with services.

Duel sim or 1 for sim and the other for a 128GB sdcard(my xiaomi has this)
Wireless fast charging. In screen finger print reader and a few more.

In screen finger print reader

Oh right, something 99.9% of phones don't have at the moment....

It is rumoured already it will have wireless charging, you would imagine it would be fast. The SD card option isn't that much of an issue for most, dual SIM certainly isn't.

Again, people not happy because it doesn't match their exact wishes (which are often in the minority too) say it's a bad/overpriced phone. As I'm sure you will do, just buy a different phone! :) (I also wouldn't be holding my breath for the 4XL. It is also unlikely to have the Chinese phone type extras)

I think we can all agree that the specs and certainly the design doesn't warrant it being priced at £800. The ONLY thing it has going for it, is the camera.....and a lot of other phones have decent cameras these days.

Maybe Google thinks it's brand name justifies the price lol

Stock android and fast updates isn't worth a £350 premium

The non XL priced at £499 would be pretty decent....and even then I'd still be looking at oneplus

This.

I would say 60% at the moment. The Samsung S10 will have it and so will others https://www.smartprix.com/bytes/7-best-phones-with-under-display-fingerprint-sensor/

To you it may not be, But I can chose to either have 2 sims in or 1 sim and a 128GB sdcard. And Samsung has done duel sim for years.

When one is paying a premium, one want's something that no other phone has. Or matching the top brands.
Even the Pixel 3 chipset is old now.

Oh wow. The 845 is old now? Sorry, you're reaching. As you are when I say 99.9% now and you start quote what phones will have, the S10 is next year, not next month. What other flagship has under screen FPS or newer than 845 now, or out in the next month or so? Even the Note9 doesn't match up to that, and that's being aclaimed as the best Android to date.

Not just to me, I have stats that show it's not that important, and they're from last year, so probably even less now (I'm not allowed to link to my own content, you'll have to go look if you';re bothered. I should do a new survey really)

I wouldn't be too happy about wireless charging no matter how fast it is. At the end of the day it is an ineffecient method of charging that generates the one thing that batteries hate - heat. One could say that there are thermals to ensure that the battery doesn't get too hot but I've seen what it does to phones in the past. Sod going down that route of reducing the life on a battery.

All this is just for you. Around the world they want\have duel sim phones.
The SDM865, which will be a complete 5G SoC and will be out next feb. so that's 4 months after the 4G pixel phone :D:D
So it will be out of date when it comes out :D

The current chipset will be out of date when the new one comes out? Well... Yes... :p

Lmao.

Someone in Ukraine is allegedly selling the Pixel 3 XL for $2K a piece, apparently from a stolen or "lost" Foxconn shipment. Which makes sense why a bunch of leaks are coming from that region.
Yeah that right, not sure on the numbers but clearly a box of them fell off the back of a lorry.
