**** The Official Google Pixel 3 Thread ****

The Pixel 2 XL came in at £799 last year, so £585 for the XL? Lol.
The regular Pixel 2 was £629.

I'd expect very similar pricing.

Definitely way off kidding yourself, If you think the XL model especially will come in at sub £600

I was quoting an article, I'm not kidding myself of anything. However, it should be worth noting that I bought my Pixel XL for £369 and my Pixel2 XL for £529 so it's hardly an unprecedented price.

Surely the notch holds the camera. As we are a year or two away from pop up selfie cameras or cameras fully embedded under the screen. (As in in big player flagships)

Well if you zoom in of the photo it's not that much clearance above the actual camera. I am not defending it by the way. It's easy to say it could or should be smaller. I am sure they considered that. But I guess that camera has more to it than that actual lence part we see
 
The only phone on the market which deserves a notch is the iphone X. Apple took the time to develop the display so it bends top and bottom (thus moving the connectors behind the panel eliminating the chin). They have an all screen display. Android is as ever, half arsed. They stuck a notch on because apple did it, but used off the shelf panels meaning there's still a chin. It looks STUPID! and google is as bad as the others. The reason is all down to buying power. Apple knows it can sell x million of iphones so can place orders for custom designed panels with samsung and LG. Google knows it will only sell a handful of pixels so can't. They have to order stock panels. Talk about knowing your projected sales numbers. Damn! It's the snowball effect. Never gonna change. Maybe if they listened to people and make phones everyone wants they'd get the sales, build confidence and go on to make awesome phones.

The Pixel XL3 will be over priced, have a silly large notch, will almost certainly have bluetooth issues AGAIN! no headphone jack because AGAIN, apple did it so we're gonna copy. I mean, hell, why copy all the crap things apple does yet ignore all the things it does right......killer camera though and the best android rom going!

Still....we're getting wireless charging. Thanks Apple ;-)

No I don't and that pees me off. Google increased the price from the Nexus range to the pixel range to compete with apple. (paying more to some people makes you think you getting more ) they ditched the headphone and then followed with the notch. In my view the pixel and Android is better than the iPhone and iOS and it really narks me off that Google follow suit in so many ways. Google have the money and support to do their own thing. They really should.
