***THE OFFICIAL GTX480/470 END USER REVIEW THREAD***

Nice score, 5870 below @ 1000 core/1240 mem

I suspect the 9.6FPS min on the 470 is an anomaly, I ran a Heaven benchmark earlier that stuttered right at the begining and kept a min of around 15fps. Anyway 480 screeny, same resolution. No OC.

the card is sandwhiched between a x-fi and the gts250, so it's not got an ideal amount of space

too cool, but I do have to apache blacks blowing down on it, and another one blowing into the

vents :) I'll maybe try some pics later

I've gone for an overclock straight away, 50mhz core and 50mhz ram.

GTX480, GTS 250 physx, 3DV min:23 max:60 avg:48 90c, probably a bottleneck somewhere (250

Not overclocked (yet) :)
Looks as though it should be able to overclock well: http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforce-gtx-470-480-review/34
I'm really pleased so far. Going to test some games like Metro now & some 3D Vision :)

Evening all...anyone have any idea which cards may come into stock next? Noticed someone said an hour ago there was some in stock i guessed i missed them as theyre all showing eta's which card was that? Thanks :)

Hay guys,

Does anyone know whether the EVGA GeForce GTX 480 Hydro Copper comes with a complete water cooling kit in the box with it, every thing to get it up and running under water??? If it doesn`t, then what other parts would I need to buy to get the card fully running under water???

Thanks for responding.

afaik tis just a card with a waterblock on. so you'll need a pump, rad, fan, hose, hose clips, & coolant of choice.

Overclocking on the 480 seems to scale very well, nice increase over stock clocks, how high can she go? and what about temps and fan noise.

Appreciate the pointer RavenXXX2 nabbed 2 480's just in case :)

Nice, easily make a profit on one or both of them if you wished, saying that, overclocked 480's in SLI can produce some amazing FPS.

Just tried 800 core, fan still on auto, but it crashed out at the dragon when it hit 94c.

What I've found happen during my testing is, regardless of clock, when it hits 93/94c the fan kicks in and brings the temp down to 90c. It's definitely loud when it does this, but it should be fine when gaming.
