Ye especially since i have 2 now after crafting a gold Gahz'rilla at the start of the expansion which i regretted a week after i done it
I got lucky last night with my packs last night. Not been playing that much since GvG, I used what gold I had saved and bought a few GvG packs. Prob about 15 in total. Got a few nice GvG cards but nothing too special.
Then the last pack was the saving grace... One Dr Boom and One gold Dr Boom !
I kinda sat there in disbelief tbh lol. Going to hold on to hold on to both for now, I dont care too much about "collecting" gold cards. So will use it for now but tbh I can see Dr Boom getting a nerf somepoint in the future (for some reason) when that happens hopefully they will do like other nerfed cards and give full dust back so thats when I will disenchant my gold one for 3200 dust 
(assuming they nerf him of course) I'm in no mad rush for the extra dust at the moment so might as well wait.

Thanks Ill give that a whirl as I have had a few good games that would have been good to record. Had a game 2 days back with my echo mage that I managed to use 9 Antique healbots lol

What are they changing to Dr. Boom? Had a swift Google but can't find anything specific

It's based on the position that Dr Boom's value far exceeds 7 mana. technically it's 7/7,1/1,1/1 with a variance of +2 to +8 dmg. So a min of 9 life, 11dmg with a max of 9 life, 17 dmg. Doesn't really matter how you cut it, that's pretty strong @ 7 mana. Even if you BGH (and now everyone does and thus everyone has started packing druid decks which run KT who's 6/8 and immune etc...) you still have a board with 2*1/1 and +2-+8 dmg.
Will it be nerfed? Well it was countered by everyone creating a BGH if they didn't have one already I guess

I know it's OP, I think most people do I think that's my opinion about the BGH though - make it a 6/6 and IMO it's more of a buff as you need to directly waste minions or spells to take it out, not a BC.

It's not definite but likely. Blizzard are looking at the card closely at the moment. I think it's inevitable that there will be a change. Bots to 0/1 or a mana increase to 8 would be my guess. Currently it has too much value for it's cost and it's being crammed into every deck just for this reason.

Indeed. I think most of the "nerfs" or balance changes so far have simply been increasing the mana cost. IMO it's still a favourable card at 8 mana due to being sticky an providing guaranteed damage from the bombs and wasting a spell or hit of some description, although being a turn 8 play would allow for further options

The reason it was played so much from the start is because there were no real good 7 drop legendaries in the game, then Dr. Boom came along and filled that niche nicely where as if it's going to be nerfed to 8 mana it wont get much play at all due to their being lots of 8 mana good legendaries already.

While I agree on that point I still don;t see it being dropped so fast. Even a mana increase by 1 still presents excellent value, bearing in mind what you get for that.

Can anyone recommend me a brief guide/outline for Hearthstone? Nothing too heavy going - I'm only playing it casually on tablet.
I've played through the intro missions, which were quite fun. Now I've built a deck, which was super-boring, and am very much coming up short with it. I can barely bring myself to go through picking another deck, so figure I should gain some knowledge before I waste effort on building another terrible one.
Do the cards always come out randomly, or does it depend on what game/mode you play?

I agree even at 8 mana Dr Boom would still be a viable card and still good value. But I can predict blizz will "nerf" Dr Boom in some way. Normally when they do a "nerf" they give players the chance to disenchant that card for full dust cost. So for like me I have a normal Dr Boom and a Gold Dr Boom. If I disenchant the gold one now I get 1600 dust, IF they do nerf it and give the full value back I can then disenchant it for 3200 dust
I could then still keep my normal Dr Boom IF its still a viable. Who knows they could do something crazy like knock him up to 10 mana, or get rid of the boombots or nerf his stats. It could be anything... thats assuming they do in fact nerf him (which they might not).
I don't really need the dust right now so I am willing to wait a month or so to see if they do "nerf" him.
That said I have a bit of an itch to make a priest deck at the moment. I've not really played priest other than to level 10 to unlock the class cards. But some of the priests I have come up against and some of the decks I've seen on Hearthpwn and watching some youtube clips... it seems quite a fun class to play
