***The Official HP TouchPad Thread***

Too heavy, not many apps but still it will do nicely for general usage. I need a dropbox app really. I know there is a synergy integration thing but not really a big fan of it.

Any good Twitter apps?

No but we shouldn't have to tbh the hardware is or should be more than capable. Look how smooth the iPad V1 is compared to this.

I agree the iPad is more smooth, this tablet doesn't sound like it's for you as it's less than a third of the price of the oldest iPad and more of a tablet to tinker with for PC people like general OCUK browsers are.

There are have been so many developers who have said meh or no to create webOS apps after the sale. It all depends if someone buys it, if devs are shown there is money to be made, they will come.

Check the first post and get the Box app, 50GB free :p.

In terms of the slowness at times I'm certain it is software related because the hardware is pretty good on paper. Hopefully HP will surprise us with an awesome speed update, faint chance I know :p

The coming WebOS software updates will make it even faster and smoother. It has the hardware for it. Or you can just do the current tweaks that are out.

I don't see the fuss about Android either, I'd rather have WebOS as it's basically just for browsing and the odd app. I have the iPad 2 for any serious business, not that this is bad. It's excellent for the money!

Anyone tried BBC iPlayer yet? TV isn't working for me for some reason, radio works fine. It should work, shouldn't it?

Edit: Never mind, seems I needed to reboot it.
