My desire is arriving tomorrow (all being well). I'm moving to it from a k800i that I've had for about 5 years, should be quite a step up!
 
Having had the K800i before the Magic I can confirm that you will be in a world of step up in unimaginable proportions :p

You could create folders on a home screen and put bookmarks in there I suppose.... but other than that i'm unaware of a solution. I set my home page to my google docs folder which has my desktop Chrome bookmarks synchronised to.

Or just use the Desire's built in widget to do the same.... They call it "Radio" on the Desire. Switching it Off only switches off 3G and keeps 2G on as opposed to flight mode which switches it all off

Thats not a bad solution actually having shortcuts to my bookmarks into folders.
 
Don't spend £13 on a HTC branded one, a cheap £3 one off ebay does the exact same job and saves you some ££ to spend on something else!

Mine works perfectly and is built pretty well too.

The ebay ones coming from HK? I just cant be assed waiting that long to save a few pound.

I still haven't seen any good looking docks.

But yeah mine was from HK but your local Sunday/Saturday/Tuesday market will have the exact same ones too for roughly the same price.

All it needs to be is MicroUSB 12v charger.
 
I picked up a Nokia micro-USB cable for under 2 quid and a Belkin low-profile USB car adapter thing for under a fiver. The latter is superb and sits almost totally flush with the socket.
 
That charger will be fine. All manufacturers appear to be ging the micro USB way for uniformity.... I can see them selling the phones without chargers in a while to save money/environment as most ppl have dozens of chargers for old phones that cant be used.
 
I quite fancy one of those charger/FM transmitter things. Hearing my music in the car would be ok, hearing the phone in the car without using my TomTom would be great.

Anyone got/used an FM transmitter with desire yet ?

teaboy5 I was thinking about ordering the official one from the market place from a different seller(was under £10 but has gone up to £11), but the picture was for the older miniusb charger rather than the newer microusb one so I didn't risk it. have gone for a unofficial £5.49 one, should hopefully have it tomorrow/friday.

don't know if anyone read my last post but I've messaged the ebay seller to findout about the lack of the claimed free spare battery with the desktop cradle plus when I can expect to get the pdair case I ordered 3weeks back.
