*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

Only if you flash the wrong zip, the one I have is the right one and have seen no issues with it, just as fast as the old Market.

I'm getting big battery drain on the recent Oxygen RCs, wondering which is most prudent to try first - a wipe of everything or a different kernel. Anyone tried the coutts(?) kernel?

I'm using DeFrost's SVS kernel as of now on RC6, had a hot-reboot earlier today and according to XDA it's probably my phone not liking HAVS like a few others have found!

I'm seriously considering selling my Desire and downgrading to the San Francisco; has anyone done this? If so, how does it compare?

why?

you will prob get around £200 maybe £250 and then buy a lesser phone for £100? do you really need a £100, dont get me wrong the san fran is good phone, but its not on par with a desire

No downsides to that? Might give that a bash then. I think the coutts one is HAVS too?

I agree. The San Fran is a nice phone but the screen isn't as good and it certainly doesn't respond as quickly. I'd get fed up with it quickly after having the Desire.

I retried Oxygen RC6 and all was going well until I restarted my phone and now it just shows the green Oxygen boot logo and doesn't get off it :(

What should I do, I've never had this problem before?

i had this on one of the rc's if battery pull does not work, just reflash

Right I went back to Oxygen 1.04, all was going well. Downloaded all my apps again from Market, restored all my texts (10,000 of them) and settings.

Then I was restoring my apps using Titanium Backup (so all my settings are there) and now I get an error "The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

I cannot do anything now, it keeps coming with this error, any help or will I have to reflash and do the whole lot again?
:(

You should not restore system data/apps in Titanium if you're doing a major ROM change because this results in FCs all over, you should only restore user apps+app data.

You're going to have to reflash the ROM only (no need to wipe) and then restore only user apps+apps data and manually reconfigure settings.

You can however restore some system data such as bookmarks, wifi networks.

Angry Birds is a User app so this restore would be part of your user apps+data restore/backup.
