No update here, according to one guy on xda htc usually lie and state it's come out for some but in reality it hasn't launched for anyone in the UK and then everyone gets it at once within two weeks of the main launch.

Some more updates today for mainland Europeans, fr de Austria it Portugal. Should be with us soon in a week or so then. Alternatively you can flash an ruu release but have to unlock bootloader and so invalidate warranty.

Nope, you can't do that. RUU's rely on the CID being correct and they need a locked/relocked bootloader.

I've read you manually need to update the hboot first tho, which involves unlocking the bootloader?

I've got the right cid just not sure what i need to do
hmmm ive downloaded the jellybean firmware flasher + toolkit and it has the option to just flash the boot.img, im guessing I could do that then just run the ruu?

I can see the HTC logic in that. Afghanistan probably has 1 user so complaints are very unlikely.

I think the HTC_001 is euro unbranded, I guess you have an unbranded HTC?

Early t-mobile HOX's were HTC__001, unbranded like mine, not sure on more recent phones and other providers.

Seems like if anyone is going to get a phone in the future, they best make sure it's unbranded and I will as branded phones just seem like a headache.
Too right. The thing that annoyed me must about my One X was it's VODP_001 CID. It's OK if you're getting one that S-OFF or SuperCID has been figured out, though.
Other manufactures are OK though, with Samsung you can just Odin over the unbranded firmware.

So I bought a HTC One X over a S3 on the basis that HTC were quicker with their updates than Samsung historically.
Whoops.
In future I think I'm only going to buy Google branded handsets.
