*** The official HTC One X thread ***

Picked up the One X yesterday from Three and overall I am very pleased with the phone.

The device feels really nice in the hand compared to the SII and 4s I have had previously. The screen is excellent and of course the phone is fast.

I was originally planning on seeing what the SIII looked like but got bored of waiting. Plus I figure at best it will only be on par with One X; I hope I am right..

I want to stay on my contract 36 a month, 1000mins, 3000txts, unlimited internet (uncapped speeds, one of the big reasons I dont want it to change) but they will only let me if I pay 100 for the phone :(

Don't Three offer exactly the same deal (Ultimate Internet 1000) without having to pay the 100?

So the guy at Chitter Chatter was right. T-Mobile are doing the phone for free on the £41 a month package. Got mine free on the £36 one with Chitter Chatter although don't know if T-Mobile would have offered me the same deal had they had phones available sooner.

Quick video and some samples, had a bit of shimmering on screen when taking the video(guess what others are getting) but it looked fine when playing back.

These pics were just taken fast and no effort made i will add.

These are using the ICS Camera+ app from the market as advised below which doubles the bit rate in video and a few camera samples, the sun has gone in so don't look as bright as the others.

Raw file on drop box right click the link and download it personally looks better than streamed for some reason.

The main problem I think is the bit rate is rather low for 1080p, that video is 9430kbps in comparison 720p videos on the I4 are doing over 10k, so I wonder if this is something that can be improved by the wizards at xda.

Still no dispatch from P4U...

I ordered on monday, was told weds that there was no stock of white one x and they was coming in on thursday for delivery possibly for Weds. Phoned them at 10 am yesterday to be told yes some are in and will shipped today for delivery maybe on Sat. At around 3.30 yesterday city link van came an delivered it about an hour after i got my dispatch notice.

Try the Camera ICS+ app!

The low fps/stutter on the X should be fixed asap but I think HTC have used 10Mbps for the limited storage space.

Noticed my phone has the original firmware also of 1.26.401.2 and there should be a 1.28 out that fixes issues with battery and the camera according to xda.

I'm lliking what I'm hearing here. I cannot get out to a store to see one in the flesh (just got out of hospital) however I'm willing to take the plunge based on what others are saying.
I'm moving from a Desire and I think the size of the X is going to be a pretty minimal thing to get used to.

See loads of people going for thisd phone in "iPhone White". Really had no intention of getting anything that resembled such a "product" so how is it looking in Grey?

I looked at both and didn't like the white it looked more like a toy to me :p but its what you like I guess.

That ICS camera + has put the bit rate upto close to 20k will upload a video of it using it and it looks fantastic .

Grey looks nice apart from I'm not so keen on the shiny bezel which looks VERY plasticky. I haven't seen a white one.

Have updated the link above with video using the ICS Camera+ app, the camera seems slower so I wonder if its missing out the HTC Image chip they put in, or if that's the cause of the stuttering.

Mines on the same version as that too ... not that I've actually had particularly bad battery life so far, (about the same as my desire really), orany issues with the camera ...

Time to give Vodafone a call I think. I want to remain with them, I use their SureSignal sevice and I couldn't use it with any other operator.
Currently I'm paying:

£31 per month
600 mins
Unlimited texts
1GB Internet

At that rate I'd be looking at £199 for the phone. Are any operators willing to negotiate on prices at the moment on this phone?
