***The Official HTC Sensation thread***

WAAAAAAAAIT a second.

STEREO sound recording and 1080p @ 30fps?

HMMMMMMMM, somewhat more WANT now after learning of this news.

Need samples first as I highly doubt the smoothness will best the Samsung.

A highly likely better camera, more RAM, a better battery and better screen swings it for the SGS2 imo.

camera - yup probably.
more ram - definately.
battery is hard to guage since they are using different processors which will draw different power.
better screen? how did you come to that conclusion?

It's arguable that the Super AMOLED PLUS screen is far better than LCD, no black issues, no bleed, pure colours.

The Sensation has a higher res screen yeah but higher res does not equal better :p

What? No flux capaciter, no time machine, no teleporter and no dishwashing facilities.

HTC you guys so suck, I'm totally buying something else.

What on earth are you on about?

I can't see this being better than the SAMOLED+ screen, but we shall see.

If this turns out to be a better phone, I'll buy one as well.

I don't understand why HTC have stuck with a 4X4 grid for icons/widgets for Sense 3.0. So a 4.3 inch 960x540 screen can only show the same amount of information as my Hero's 3.2 inch 480x320 screen? Weird.

Another rock solid phone from HTC, esp with the new senseUI. Wonder how the camera's 1080p encoding will turn out?

Yeah no chance, sAMOLED+ is bleeding edge screen technology (Unless Samsung haven't really solved the blue sub pixel half life and you need a replacement screen every 6 months :D)

I'm pretty sure I'll get this phone. Even though the sgs2 is more powerful and whatever, the htc ui is just brilliant and I love htc maps amongst other things as I always use navigation for work.

Looking forward to it!

Well with htc inbuilt maps its meant to be better, correct me if wrong. Either one I don't mind, but loving the new unlock screen for some reason!

Well you have to pay for it. I tried it on the Desire using the DHD ROMs and it wasn't that great either. Vector rendered Google Maps with layer support is far better (and free) especially the way it integrates satnav and the Places/Lattitude systems.
