Well I think most party manifestos ought to be taken with a pinch of salt, hence why I think coalitions are more beneficial as they keep each other in check and are more likely to bring some substance to their promises.

Since we haven't had a majority tory government since John Major was in office and then we had Blair who really didn't do Labour any favours and IMO didn't do a great job, we need to give the Tory's a chance to see what they'll do. It's not ideal maybe, then again I don't think any majority government is an ideal.
 
It looks to be the correct result for the UK IMO. A Labour + SNP + Others would have set us back years, as we are on the right track at the moment.
