Well ipad now updated, got a clock where youtube used to be and maps is worse than google maps before it.

What a waste of time that was.

Windows 8 looks so much better from the little i have seen of it.
 
Updated both iPhone and iPad and to be honest I'm not overly impressed, thoughts so far:-

3D Maps pretty cool and handy for London
2D Maps not as good a google
Clock app actually handy for me dealing with people from multiple time zones
Youtube on phone resolved by installing the new app which seems fine
Lack of password requests for app updates most welcomed

Looking forward to trying out the navigation stuff.

Also wasn't there a plan to split podcasts out into a dedicated app?
 
I'm impressed

Siri is miles better and now launches apps and has UK businesses
Maps is actually quite good and has built in sat nav
Not sure if its just me but the 4S now seems loads faster, launching things, opening facebook, updates coming through etc
Facebook integration with calendars and contacts in awesome - now I have everyone in facebook also on my phone contact (this can be turned on and off if not needed as can facebook calendar with phone calendar)
The count down timer on 'Clock' will be very useful
 
Folks, the maps software on iphone 4 doesnt show turn by turn navigation in 3d. Is this correct?
It just shows a top down view.. not sure if this is right :(
 
mmm removing account and re-adding and I still can't get email working

will leave for others to work out :)

in meantime - impressed with speed on my Iphone 4 - it feels a lot slicker both in navigation, safari all round really
 
Has anyone seen the new way results are displayed from an app store search? It seems a very stupid way to do it to me. I don't suppose there is an option to get the list style back?

Id like to know this too. Seeing only 1 app at once is VERY annoying

No sound when refreshing twitter etc
No music

Looked through all the settings to see if any things been enabled (almost seems like the "do not disturb" feature is enabled, which it isn't)

Anyone else having problems or am I overlooking something really simple?

Im having similar problems with my iPad 3,

No Lock Sounds
No Notfication Sounds.

Tried a restore and eraseing content with no luck.
 
IOS6 has broken wifi on my 4S. Now when i try to connect to my wifi it brings up a login page (as if it was a corporate or shop wifi) which points to http://www.apple.com, this page loads but as a 404. I then have to cancel this screen off and the wifi disconnects.
