i presume the 3d feature is only available to ipads ?
put ios6 on my iphone4 to have a look at whats new. decided to go back to my backup but didn't work so im stuck with it.... oops. any way. i think i prefer google maps. seems to be a lot more information in it. ive tried finding it on its own but i cant find it ;(

Definitely excited to see the Siri improvements - I'm definitely looking forward being able to get footie scores quickly

Apart from maps and VIP mail, iOS6 is nice. But I'm tempted away from iPhones with the map data apple have. Having a major city all in black and white is a joke for a £600 device. A £2 map is printed in colour.

Installed IOS6 on my iPad last night.
Safari works quicker and the clock is a nice change.
As for maps I hope they are going to expand it a lot! It couldn't find Newcastle unless I specified Newcastle upon Tyne!

Have Apple ditched the 3GS and iPad 1 for iOs 6?
I just never MD5'd the 3GS as I wasn't asked.

Is it right that if I option-click 'Check for Update' and select the file that it will do an update and leave everything intact?

Can somebody please tell whether ios6 safari has swipe page forward/back yet. It's one of the most frustratingly missing features? Use it all the time on my MacBook and its annoying having to reach the top left of the screen to go back a page.

I use my iPhone as a music source in the car via bluetooth.
With iOS6, the audio still works but I no longer get any info passed from the phone to the head unit. No track details, no album name, artist name, playing time etc.
Plus, if I hit 'pause' on the head unit, the audio stops and the head unit shows 'pause' but the iPhone keeps running. So if I'm listening to a podcast, hit 'pause' for a phone call and then go back to it, I've missed a load.
Plus the podcast app isn't great and now there's no choice. I don't want it to show me all episodes that it knows about, I just want the unplayed ones. That's how it's selected in iTunes but doesn't seem to be syncing well. It's also not syncing played podcasts back to iTunes, so I've listened to one, it's showing played in the podcast app but iTunes still shows it as unplayed.
