Better get selling my ATV 2 as I ordered the 3rd gen one lol and whatever else I can. I can afford all this stuff but always feel better about cutting the cost by shifting some other gear.
 
Apple store not even loading this morning. Isitdown agrees

Well it's up again, stock still there for next Friday delivery., hmm

Although very, sorely tempted I think for the UK the ipad3 doesn't have enough benefits over the 2 to justify the trade in. Our 4g network is'nt up and running yet, the 4g mode of the ipad3 may not be optimum and since we won't have 4g storage space will be an issue.

Therefore because of the increase in resolution you'll be getting less usable space than before and up scaling anything less than 720p is going to look poo.

I'm sure the new screen is fantastic, but tbh I've never looked at my ipad2 and thought 'oh I wish i could read this'

If you don't have a tablet it's now the one to go for, but for me, in the UK I'll wait for proper 4g before changing over.
 
Ordered at 05:30 this morning when I got up. Just got confirmation email.
Right, time to ditch the ipad2.
 
Should have just waited till this morning and got a full night's sleep by the looks of it lol.

Going to bed at 1am and then getting up to feed a newborn isn't conducive to a productive day's work!!! :p

I went to bed just after two waiting for the email which finally came in. Lots of coffee will sort out fours hours sleep. :D

16gb wifi ipad 2 (refurb) for the mrs :D
 
Looking to purchase one for my dad. I'm a poor student though, so looks like I'll be getting the 16gb version.

Is there anyway to upgrade the storage at a later stage?

Nope.
Plenty iPad2 going in the MM right now - some of them very delusional about their prices though, just make a realistic offer - most will come to their senses.

Almost as delusional as the ipad 1 refurb prices on apples store :D

All those currently on the MM now missed the boat by 2 or 3 weeks. I guess no one expected than much of a drop on the 16gb wifi. I imagine next year the MM firesale will start a month earlier :D
