*** The Official iPad (Early 2012) Thread ***

I think i'm going to be staying with the iPad 2 for now, just an updated screen/hardware wasn't enough for me to upgrade.
 
ordered my first apple device! 16gb model, mainly for wife to use while im on my PC :).

Do you think it will be delivered on the 16th going by previous apple releases? Anything else to take into account also?
 
ordered 16gb white :D

then thought, should I get the black instead :confused:

Now I'm not sure, keep white or go black

don't need any extra memory with icloud / dnla streaming
 
Just ordered a BLack 64Gb and 4g, smart cover and micro sim.

Apples site is running well, no delays or glitches.

No confirmation email yet as others have reported.
 
64gb white here with light grey cover

All my iPhones have been black so i fancied something different :p
 
How scratchproof is the back of these? The smartcovers look great, but I'd always be worried about the back when sliding it into a bag...

You should have tried at midnight last night! That was fun :p

Took about an hour for my confirmation email to come through. The money went instantly though!
 
I managed to sneak through last night before the majority found it to be back up so didn't get many problems myself but it took about 40 mins to get confirmation.
 
How long do you think it will take before they sell out (ie, the date changes back a month). I'm tempted to cancel my order and change it to black but my bank card is at home

Not very, I'm not a fan of the smart covers either. I prefer a silicon skin and a screen protector for complete protection and coverage. Especially with little fingers nearby :D

It gives me peace of mind as well in a bag and you don't have the bulk of a full case. Also moving around the house it's more grip in the hand. The trouble is the wait for china to get this stuff in production for the new ipad ;)
