jumping up from an S8 to a 12 pro. Will be good to try out ios phone again after quite a few years of android.

it's hard finding small/mid size top end phones now. About 150mm height is absolute limit to get in some of my cycling top pockets, all the latest androids are over this now.
 
wonder what the biggest jump is to get one of these phones? Many people upgrading from recent phones but haven't seen too many people jumping from older phones.

I'm going from a 7 Plus 32gb to a 12 pro 128gb - Can that be beaten?

I have a 6S 32gb I'm upgrading to the 12 64gb, but this is a stop gap phone as I moved on my iPhone 11 Pro earlier in the year while I was trying some Android phones.

I'm also on a 7 (non Plus) 128GB. 3/4 years is my usual upgrade cycle (5S before the 7).

Will keep the 7 as a spare/backup as it's not worth enough to sell.

Still have the 5S :)

Ah I see. if its a stop gap im not sure it fully counts! :P

my 12 pro this year will be a stop gap until next years model I hope (if it has 120hz and smaller notch)

I see we are on similar cycles then! My previous phone to the 7 was a 5s as well. You're lucky you have 128gb though, because with my 32 I've had to delete all my photos, several apps and it still wont let me backup my whatsapp messages to icloud...

Though this 12 pro im hoping to replace next year with a more permanent phone.

If you turn on optimise photos it should handle this for you instead of needing to delete them.

I already have them backed up elsewhere so I could delete them off my phone to save as much storage as possible, not that it helped though...
 
20 mins to go. If everything sells out in seconds like ****** Ampere, I'm going to be seriously annoyed. I need some retail therapy right now!

You'll be fine, there are more than 100 units for UK buyers :p unlike RTX 3080.
