If that is your main criteria…you go Japanese.
It's pretty annoying they've made the base model 64GB, but I know they've done it on purpose as the vast majority of people can manage with 128GB very easily, making the 256GB option almost redundant.
I've voted 256GB Space Grey, but I'll only get it if Face ID works as well as I hope, certainly won't be a launch day purchase.
I'm not at all worried about the notch, it's logical to have the battery life and time either side of it. If app developers can't make good use of it, they can just have a black bar along the top and have the time/battery life in the default positions. I don't see any drawbacks aside from zooming in pictures etc, but that's not a huge deal. OLED will make it very easy to blend in.

How so! We have one car now coming up to 15 years old (German) purchased new and apart from e.g. new tyres, services etc. has cost us not one penny and I've already mentioned the other vehicle, same story. Our neighbour down the street as a Honda and has had no end of niggling problems. We are quite happy with our choice of German vehicles thank you.

The acid test will not be what we in the west think of the X it's what the Chinese make of it and will they be prepared to pay these sorts of prices. I have seen it mentioned a few times now that this phone is the one Apple are hoping will turn around its fortunes in China where iPhone sales are down for the sixth quarter in a row. Chinese buyers are allegedly bored with the same iPhone design year after year as they have become accustomed to seeing lot's of new designs in the Chinese market.
I think given the amount of really nice phones coming out of China at present and at much lower price points it's a big ask.

I'm not too fussed about the sensor bar on the front. It's there for a reason, and developers will accommodate apps to fit correctly and use the screen real estate properly.
Can't wait to see this oled screen in person!

They can always make the side bar totally black, like cut it off so you don't get a notch into the movie, keep it a straight edge.

I'm pretty sure that's what will happen. But to be honest.. I don't watch movies on my phone anyhoo. I'm certain photos will work that way though. For sure.

Can't wait to upgrade from the 7 256gb to the X 256gb. The current design has been used far too much so it will be such a nice change.
256gb is as low as I can go as the it's the only capacity to hold all my music and apps, plus doing 4K videos take lots of storage.
