*** The official "I've put my tree up early" thread ***

No and it's not going up, stuck in the house since march and the last thing I need to look at is a ******* Xmas tree.

Yeah I'm miserable as **** bored out of my mind, bloody asthma, and covid shielding.

I always get forced by the wife and children to go and buy the tree and put it up at the very start of December. I would way prefer it not to go up until a week before Christmas. Having the tree sit there for weeks before the big day reduces the excitement and joy at decorating the house for Christmas for me.

Wahey!! Finally some colour!

You lot and your boring white Christmas tree lights :p

Haha! I was thinking this, I love seeing decorations with colour. My tree went up today, white lights though! I did put up a retro fibre optic tree. :D

My parents still have all our decorations from when I was a kid, proper bulb lights, remember when one goes pop; the whole chain goes out (ugh) and decent tinsel. I was going to snaffle all the decorations and create a retro tree this year, only hosting and socialising is limited this year so held off until next as hoping it'll be better for everyone. :)

Second Tree up - in the hall this time

Ho, ho, ho! Merry, er.... December the 6th. Nowt classy and styled about our tree. For me, trees have always been like open fires. You should be able to pour yourself a glass of adult Ribena (port) and stare into them for ages, remembering Christmas gone and contemplating -- hopefully -- those to come.

Tree up, dog is very proud.

£29 tree from IKEA, but you get a £20 voucher to spend in the New Year so good value.

Bought a box of mini lights from B&M, 10m. They were open when we bought them but last box so just got them. Little did I know they were incredibly tangled, honestly took us 2 hours to untangle them. Argh.
