***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

with a PAC? sounds like ball ache to me, it can't be that hard to cut it can it?

Aye that's the one, not entirely sure how the process works myself (was speaking to a colleague about moving from my current ancient phone to the Nexus 4). In the past when I moved from O2 to Blyk and then back again when they went under I just spoke to customer service to have my number transferred - was painless and didn't take much time :p

You wont need a PAC to transfer your details from a normal to a micro sim, all they have to do is change the sim id number associated with your account as far as I'm aware.

Jelly bean update for gs2 couldn't have come at a better time. Huge gadget itch has been scratched. Having Google now is awesome. I'm really looking forward to owning the n4.

lots and lots of people will pay £100 more, as ebay has proven :)

if the dates are to be believed theyll be stock again in 2-3 weeks so i'll be waiting. If it turns out to be another farce when it comes back into stock on google play I may then pay the extra.

for that price though you can get an S3...which is better...?

Yup, can get that, could get the note II (ebay), one XL, one S, pretty much any other top end phone.

Pro's and con's have been discussed at least a hundred times now! :p

GS 3:

- storage
- battery life
- audio
- camera overall

N4:

- build/perceived quality
- stock android so get updates fast
- CPU/GPU and 1GB more RAM
- cheap

Screen is personal preference, NLED is good on both and design/looks is personal preference as well as software skin (touchwiz VS stock)

Comes down to what is more important.

Battery life, audio and camera are 3 important areas for me and so far going by the reviews/first impressions the N4 doesn't seem to be as good thus I will be staying with my one S as the only areas where the N4 is better (for me) is the nexus part so get updates quicker (I prefer sense over stock android though), NLED and the screen (more so for the size as I love the quality of the SAMOLED screen on the S and only wish it was bigger). The GPU/CPU is very nice but I doubt there will be much if any difference between it and my S (when it gets JB) as android and the apps etc. don't properly make full use of dual core let alone quad core CPU and I have not noticed any slow down on my S in games etc. at all

If I had the Gs 3, the advantages of the N4 for me would be, design, build/perceived quality, stock android, hardware.

Right just bought one from CPW, will hopefully have it by the end of the week. Tired of waiting for Google and if I have any problems with the device, even CPW will be better than them for customer service. Hopefully.
