***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

It will be bigger than the GS 2 screen, however, it is quite a bit smaller than the GS 3 screen due to the on screen buttons:

EDIT:

GS 3 on right and nexus 4 on the left.

I know the screen size is only slightly smaller than an S3 but Im referring to the fact the nav buttons actually use the screen, leaving less for the icons. Looking at http://www.geek.com/articles/mobile...droid-dna-vs-nexus-4-vs-razr-maxx-hd-2012124/ the N4 appears to have considerably less useable screen area than the S3.

Edit: looking at the shot above, the screen hasn't got a standard height/width ratio then. Do things like browsing use the full 4.7inch or so, or are the buttons always there.

Well what a shambles

I was there hitting F5 from before 5pm but never knew if my order went through. At one point it looked like I'd ordered 16 but it now seems there are only 2 orders. At first one was declined but now both look like they are "pending pre-orders".

I tried cancelling one but this didnt seem to work. Im now giving up and just waiting to see what happens.

Can those who bought the phone from O2 confirm that it's unlocked? I'm on Orange.

With the death of my S3 yesterday it has sped up the purchase of this bad boy so going to pop into a store on the way home tonight.

I'm not sure how many times it's been posted in this thread, probably 100s but to reiterate once more:

All Nexus 4 phones are unlocked and clear of branding.

Is that clear enough for you?

I think I'm going to get a screen protector for the back of the phone as I imagine that will scratch easily, and I'll get a leather slip case to protect it while in my pocket / bag.

Pretty sure you should get a handbag to carry it in too :o

Lol

Live a little!

Haha, I don't see a problem :p

That's like the minimum protection it could have, I don't use any form of case on my current phone while in use (S2), I only use a slip case for it when it's not in use. My S2 is in perfect condition and I haven't had to use anything to make the phone ugly i.e. and screen protector or a hard case :p

The only difference for N4 would be the addition of a screen protector on the back, otherwise it's going to get scratched while on my desk. I don't think a screen protector on the back will make any impact visually either..

I lived a little with my One X and managed to scratch the screen several times. Just ordered the N4 and I will try to protect it this time round.

Its a tricky one. I've kept my iPhone 4 in a case for 3 years, its in great condition but I've never really seen this lovely looking phone as its been hidden the whole time, as well as being more chunky thanks to the case.

With the Nexus 4 I'm tempted to just go without a case and enjoy it, and I figure I'm not likely to hang onto this one for as long.

Been trying to order a 16gb since last night and just cannot get it to work. If i click proceed in the shopping cart it just sits loading, and if i do get through it asks for my address and card details. These are in my google wallet but when i click on address it asks for a new one, if i enter an address and click ok it just asks me to enter a new address again, same with card details. Can't do anything with it, so frustrating.
