***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

Well I must have been lucky as my Nexus 4 that I ordered about 8pm on the 4th which stated 4-5 weeks for delivery is on route for delivery today...

Checked the tracker and it left the Durham TNT depo and will arrive by 6pm.

Any one else getting one sooner than expected?

No idea, works fine for me, sorry!

Went two days without charging yesterday. Was light use and only an hour of screen time, but still very impressed. Had to charge my HOX nightly regardless of usage really (and medium to heavy as soon as I got home) so very happy with this.

Unplugged at 8.30am the previous day and still on 25% at 11pm.

To everyone whose orders say Pending.

Mine was saying pending 2 weeks after I recieved the device, I ordered on the day of release & got it on the friday. The whole lot didn't update until 2 weeks later. Same as the money being taken didn't happen till 2 weeks after.

Lightflow works perfect here with emails, texts, missed calls etc
 
Strange - i have an order pending, but i can still order a 16gb on the same account (i couldn't yesterday as it said i'd reached my limit.)

I wonder if i order one now it will be delivered quicker?
 
Sorry guys, just sent a few Trust messages to people that ordered late, but have had dispatch notices in the hope your happy for me to speak to Google Play and use your orders as examples how theyve messed up. Be really interested in the ones that actually have their phones now already...

Otherwise its just pointless going round in circles when they keep saying they cant discuss other people orders :p. I would suggest to anyone else thats in the same boat as me to call Google Play and just check and ask the same question and post what reponse they get.

Its fine if I get it in the 1-2 week window, but Im at the point where I dont believe a single thing regards my order, whatever assurances I get from them, theyve proven on multiple occasions that their ordering, logistics and despatch system is at best inaccurate.

Lol, so you want people who have had an awesome result from google, to arm you with ammunition to rage at google :)

Cant complain about googles service myself, delighted with them TBH :p

Conversation with google was as follows :

Me : Where is my item, it says delivered but Its not turned up and the tracking number supplied is not recognised ?

Google Support : Erm your tracking number does not work, I can't help you.

Me : Ok, yeah I know the tracking number does not work, thats part of my problem, I'm blind and I can't track whats going on.

Google Support : I'm sorry I cannot help you as your tracking number does not work.

Me : Ok, thanks but what you're really saying is I'm blind and no one can help me as the number you've supplied me is invalid.

Google Support : We got the number from TNT, we're both blind.

Me : I made the purchase from you and not TNT.

Google Support : Have you tried contacting TNT ?

Me : Yes, there 0800 number is temporarily unavailable due to a fault and I'm still waiting for a 15min callback which was due about 30mins ago.

Google Support : Have you tried their webform ?

Me : No, I'll try that.

Google Support : Thanks, get back to us if you don't get your nexus4 and would you mind participating in a quick customer survey.

Me : Sure

It does amount to that, but considering the same thing happened at the last 1.5 launches its pretty bad and to me its a direct reflection on their support services. You normally expect a good service when youre actually buying something, its normally afterwards you reallly find out. If Google Play cant even sell these correctly what hope have we got...

It’s not quite that simple though is it. They had enough stock to supply some within 3-5 days, and then some within 1-2 weeks. If they are supplying those who ordered late first then that means they may not have the stock to supply the others on time.

Obviously there is no real justification in complaining until your delivery estimate has been missed, but surely you can understand why people are concerned.
