Blacks look ok on mine. I've Best Skin fitted on mine so they is a bit of orange peel affect.

Wait, that's it? I think perception does have a part to play here, as (time to embarrass myself) I don't see a lot wrong with that. Yes the nav bar has gone a bit grey, but the rest of the screen is still colourful, and perfectly legible.



I was expecting full on negative effects going by the complaints I've read.

Only had it a day, but so far very good. The fit was a bit tight at first but now it fits like a glove. Tight enough to hold the phone security in place and not difficult to take out.

The leather is very soft and has a rubbery feel. So I'll would presume it could be quite prone to marking... time will tell.
 
Yup most people don't really care for grey black and contrast shift, but it bugs me a lot. Especially when it's hugley better on SAMOLED panels.

I didn't mention any inverted colours though.

Not very noticeable on bright wallpapers - but it's blatant on the black nav bar.
 
Where are you selling you bumper smokedog?

Had my N4 for 10 days now and getting a bit wary of having it naked.
 
Impulse purchased one last night (after saying I wouldn't :p) - there's no other phone I want on the horizon, and this is a Nexus so :p but it was 6-7 weeks wait when I ordered, so won't be holding my breath :(

Interestingly, went into CPWH earlier, and they had sold out of Nexus 4's - apparently there is a huge demand even at ~£100 above RRP :confused:

Yup, front and back. I've already got a bumper on as it came the day after the phone did. I've still got the plastic that was on when the phone came out of the box on! Phone had a near miss this week when (exhausted after leaving work at about 2200) I covered it on hot soup (and my trouser leg too). It appears to be unscathed. I'm very lucky.

Hmm how easily does yours fit? Mine I have to really force it on, takes about 30 seconds to push it all the way on and a bit longer to take it off :p

This one is 2nd hand but barely used. I keep taking it on and off again hoping it will stretch a bit and become easier..

When I say I've been putting it on and off I mean only part of the way! I've just tried to put it on the whole way, and it was pressing down the power and volume buttons. by the time I took it off the phone was in download mode :p

I don't think I'm going to risk damaging the phone.
