That's still not comfirmed though is it? Some guy on reddit was talking about how CPW will most likely lower the prices. Again, speculation for now.

I watch a lot of youtube videos, some TV episodes/TV catchup, play a few games etc. at night time whilst lying in bed and just play a few games, youtube videos when sitting on the couch downstairs. Don't listen to much music on my phone (obviously if I am out and about, I would use earphones :p)

I've got a firefox addon thats checking the page for changes every few seconds, when it detects a change it emails me. I've setup a label in gmail for the alert email which will sound sirens as a notification on my phone when it comes in :)

I was just about to go to bed but the device store is down... do I wait and check it isn't the N4?! :/

edit: it was only down for a few minutes and no change so off to bed I go! :)

Yup, holding out for gsmarena's and anandtech's review (hopefully with the final software on the N4) as well as giving it a few weeks for people to find any issues (if there are any....) and report battery life.

Camera needs to be as good as the one S as well as battery and audio (don't mind if audio is slightly worse though). Main reasons for me wanting to move to the N4 is bigger screen, get updates faster and knowing that you will get the updates (although not bothered about android 4.2)


However.... I am really liking the look of sense V4+/jellybean for the one S and being able to fit the X+ (2100mAh) battery in the S is going to be a big plus, so those two reasons alone could stop me from getting one!

I was thinking similar, although I'm in no rush my Desire HD is showing its age, so it has been a toss up between the N4 and S3. I think I may aswell take the plunge as it's the most cost effective and it will save me messing around with custom ROMS although I grew to love MIUI for the DHD!

Which will most likely change but as you said, pure speculation. Hopefully tomorrow we'll all be somewhat wiser :)

For the price I really don't think anyone can go too far wrong with this phone, it really is unmatched at this price point.

For reference on the S3 vs the N4:

The main debate people seem to have is "Should I upgrade from X" for me as an SII owner that was yes as the resale value will plumet sometime soon and developer support is gradually getting weaker for the device. If I had a DHD it would be yes too for me. However if I already had an SIII or OneX or even a OneS I would have to think much harder about it.

For anyone set on getting a new phone right now the Nexus 4 is the out and out winner by a long way.

Everyone should keep in mind that out of stock accessories stopped some people getting their Nexus 7's as the Play store held back orders for the Nexus 7+accessories until they got stock of them in later.

I would stick to just ordering the phone to be on the safe side.

Agreed. Coming from a One X/S3 the upgrade would have to warrant more but my 2 year contract is finishing next month so the timing is great and I can vouch that I've used the crap out of my DHD :D. For the price, it wins by a long mile. The best I can do for a refurb S3 is about £300. N4 it is but the question now is do I order it first this in the morning or see it out for a while.

My only concern in waiting it out is stock levels.
