*** THE OFFICIAL MAX PAYNE 3 THREAD ***

Still don't like the setting. :( The whole thing should be NYC imo. :(

The gritty noir style was what made the first two games for me.

Really enjoyed that vid, certainly on my list of wanted games. Like the above post, I never got round to playing MP2 unfortunately so I wonder whether it is worth sorting out a copy before playing this one?

I replayed MP2 about a year ago after buying it on Steam, I laughed at the low polygon models, but it's still fun to play.

I seriously doubt you'll actually need to play MP2 to play MP3 though. I suspect a lot of people who pick up MP3 will be new to the series, or would have completely forgotten what happened in MP1/2.

I played the two Max Paynes when they first came out. I then played them last year and they're still great fun.

Still not convinced about the Sao Paulo setting, but that video certainly gives the impression that they've nailed the gameplay element, looks mightily impressive. The 360 degree prone shooting had me grinning from chin to chin!

Not got round to playing that, Is it buggy or something then?

Well DX11 is still pretty much broken, was even worse on release. People have save games deleted as well, some people can't even install it. After it was delayed on PC for extra tweaks :) DX9 works well though for me, but I am still waiting to play through because people having save games deleted concerns me a little, plus I want to play in DX11. Check out the arkham city forums.

The blood trail dream sequences scared the crap out of me.

I've also played through both games numerous times and I've got to be honest, Max Payne 3 looks brilliant. So far it's looking like it will live up to the previous two titles and I can see myself playing through it a few times.
