Probably waiting for all of the interest in America to dissolve before they have any spare to ship to the UK :p.
 
Are these available in the uk now?

Spoke to softcat and they said they can get them but won't know price till Monday

Nope.
No announcement, no price.

Personally, I don't think they will come to the UK at all. It's been too long since launch.
 
It's just mind boggling, wtf are they playing at. I just don't understand. So glad I went for a laptop, until the blue/haswell are out.
But I just can't understand their mentality.
 
Well, I picked up a Surface RT to compliment my Vivobook.
Got it from the MM. 340, 64GB Sandisk and the touchpad cover, so all in, pretty good.

Was looking at getting a W700, but decided to just have 2 separate devices.

Shame MS are taking their time with releasing the Pro in the UK.
 
If it was released in October, even start of jan, it would have been a no brainier, now. Just wait, the next version is going to be so far ahead with haswell. There's not much point buying one now.

Have you got it yet (the Surface)?

Also, which Vivobook? I had a play with the S200E the other week and I thought it was incredible for the price.

Yeah I've got the Surface already.
And it's indeed the S200E.
I bought it when it was 440, it's down to 380 now, the Ivy i3 variant, however, that's offset by the price I sold my W500 for.

I've thrown a 128GB Sammy 840 in my Vivobook, I paid 20 quid for that SSD brand new :p
 
I’m afraid we still haven’t had any confirmed dates for when the Surface Pro will be available, we just expect that it will be soon! As soon as I know more I will make sure it is communicated out quickly through Softcat. Regarding availability, while it hasn’t been confirmed, I’m not expecting that it will be available through the channel – much like the RT I’m expecting that it will be through Retail or Microsoft directly but again – this will be confirmed at launch.

I'v been travelling with mine for the best part of a week, first real use of it and it was exactly what I hoped. Really effective for my work, good for a bit of entertainment and so much less bulky to lug around than my laptop. Bang on travel companion for me. The handwriting recognition is great for making notes in meetings too. Although have now lost my pen!
 
I would have loved a Pro on the trip to Turkey I just had for work, ended up taking the RT for wathcng films on the plane and a laptop for actual work :/
 
Ended up getting a macbook air 13 instead of waiting for the Surface Pro. Pretty glad I did now, similar spec but with more ram and the option to get the more powerful i7 chip too.
