Your very much mistaken, the pro is very fast, it was an i5 after all.
As for the kickstand it was one of the major complaints, that it didn't work particularly well on the lap, so its great to see they've addressed it.

I'm onfused 75% better battery life or two and a half times better battery.

75% would be around 7hrs 2&1/2 would be about 10hrs.

Yes pro was 4-5hrs battery, which was another of the big issues.
