4hrs is about what I'm getting for browsing, entirely with pen, which includes hd video playback.

Keeping the pen hovered over the screen keeps the processor running at higher than normal leading to lower battery.

But my use has been using OneNote for lectures notes and on the Balanced power usage profile i was getting just over 2 hours. Made a new profile for maximum battery and i'm getting around 4 hours with constant use in OneNote.

I caved and ordered one. £300 for one of these with the touch keyboard as well simply cannot be missed

My quidco has tracked as well

I will be selling my excite pro and replacing it with this.

Well I have ordered the £359 64GB one as I have been after a tablet / laptop for ages. I also bought a small Android tablet and was very disappointed in the speed, responsiveness and the touch screen. It has basically sat around doing nothing.

Other than slightly low battery life, the surface pro looks perfect, especially for the price. My quidco has not tracked yet which is a little disappointing, but even without the £50 from quidco, £359 still seems very reasonable.

Where are people getting these prices from?

All I can see on MS Store is £439 for 64GB Pro 1 (less £50 Quidco).

If you use an XP system or fool the website into thinking you are (there's a link somewhere) you get a price of £359.

Then you get £50 quidco which is actually tracking at £60+ for everyone.

This. Although my quidco has tracked as £58.62.

The free touch keyboard is pretty sweet as well.

Create an account with Quidco, then visit the Microsoft Store from the link on their website. It tracks based on cookies so it might help to clear the MS Store ones out first otherwise it might not track properly.

There's more info in the FAQs on their website. I've used them previously to get cashback when swapping utilities and it's pretty painless.

Anyone else find the updates a little ridiculous? It seems to want a restart pretty much every other day at the minute! Back in my day you switched your PC on and left it on, for years if necessary!!

how long did it take for you guys to get yours? I ordered Saturday afternoon so just wanted to know when I could expect it?

Takes a while if it's fresh out of the box, after that they issue updates on the second Tuesday of the month.

I ordered night of the 8th, was in my hands on the afternoon of the 10th. There appears to be a mountain of them in Telford somewhere according to UPS. ;)

Just got my shipping confirmation! Going to be awesome to have access to my steam library when out and about, and to be able to do some simple Cubase /music production work on it whilst away. Can't wait!
