Mhh. I'll be getting it, cant afford the pro at the moment but that will be on the shopping list, hopfully i can scrounge the money together for the surface2 at launch though.
Allthough next month is expensive, got to hire a tuxedo or buy one and spend money in london.

Looks like MS will allow oems to do the cheap end of the market.

It's a premium device though, the OEMs will cover the lower end of the market

They've forgotten the device has a touch screen I think. That's the only reason I can think of for the mix cover.

When you look at the details it really is a nicely put together stonking device, it deserves to succeed but if it's another to overcome brand loyalty from Apple and Google is another matter..

What OEM's? There's only Dell left.

Why dont you go to another thread, you havent got anything right.
Everyone knows its got a touch screen. But its also a full fledge system with office tools. You dont want to be typing up documents on a touch screen and for music you don't want to be taking up screen with UI controls.

The live blog I am watching have said if you were to buy what is being given with the Surface 2, the Skype, Skydrive, MS Office, total to about $30 more than the retail price of the device.

So looks to be good value from that respect, but then its all MS software at the end of the day. So very tempted with one to replace my iPad mini but need Apple to release iBooks on Windows first really lol

Surface 2 is $449 and Surface Pro 2 is $899. Surface RT remains at $349.
