Yeah. If you want a 3.7" Capacitive touch screen Android device they are ten a penny. But ones with a slide out keyboard appear to be.... Just the Milestone, and no plans for any others. Everyone just seems to be copying the iPhone.
Haha
Haven't people with the droid got the 2.0.1 update now?
Thank you for contacting Motorola.
An update for the Milestone is coming soon, it will be definitely available in January.

Just because iPhone had a virtual keyboard first doesn't mean every other phone after it is copying the iPhone now.
A virtual keyboard is the eventual shift that phones are heading and the current batch of smartphones with capacitive screens do them very very well.
The only reason do have a hardware keyboard really is for specific apps (emulation/gaming) and of course for purists who still don't believe in virtual keyboards.
I can now type just as fast on my HTC Magic as I can on the G1.
Heads up people! Today marks the start of the 24.5 day period where the milestones' camera focuses properly! make use of it as much as you can!
I don't get it?
Also is it just me or has the price dropped?! A penny under £400 at the previously-exclusive place now! And they have some funky trade-in scheme now aswell (up to £100 off if you give them your old phone... the rates suck though!).

Having just spent a couple of hours looking though screenshot threads picking out great apps and noticing just how rapidly the Android community is picking up pace in terms of developing widgets and applications, Ive come to the conclusion, Android looks great!
Unfortunately all that has done is remove the HD2 and N900 from my shortlist, I still need to decide on the Milestone or the Nexus....
Read the Engadget review of the Nexus. That should lead you to realising the Milestone is the right choice.
I'd probably use the virtual keyboard 7 times out of 10, but it's nice to have the keyboard there for Emulators and more advanced apps.
No, the Nexus CPU is nearly 2x the speed, it just seems to not make much difference in terms of how Android feels, that's liable to change at some point. The CPU is not that much faster, it's been noticed that the difference is negligible.
