The Official My Console Died What Should I Do Thread?

Any ideas, my 360 is an older model, surprised its lasted this long, it's 2.5 years old now. No picture is displayed, when it turns on, you can hear the sounds but no picture. I've even bought another HD Cable, still the same. The TV is fine as the PS3/Wii work fine via the HDMI/Component ports.

There are no red lights on the console, it appears to be fine apart from not displaying anything. I assume there is some sort of graphics issue (broken?) which I assume is not covered under warranty?

Picked up last Monday late afternoon, returned today at noon.

Less than 8 days, I'm very impressed by Microsoft!

Next step, make a console that doesn't have a 95% chance of breaking down.

Sent my 360 off Thursday 6th March with 3 red rings. Got it back Wednesday 19th with a new motherboard and DVD drive. So 13 days turnaround, which is alright, just a shame for 6 of those days it was sat in Teleplan's warehouse waiting to be picked up by UPS.

And now its died again. Sigh.

Luckily just within the 3 years too.

Thats actually quite impressive, was only picked up at about 5pm Monday.

Lets see if they're any better at shipping it than last time. It sat in their warehouse for about 6 days then :rolleyes:

Mine's on it's way back now, UPS are dragging their heels a bit. It was picked up last Monday. Mine's a 2006 too, it's only just in warranty.
 
My 360 has started playing up a lot now but no RROD...

The only way I can describe it is that the graphics have a watercolour effect to them.

It flicks back and forth from this to looking normal every so often, any ideas?
 
Mine came back today too, although it isn't mine, its a replacement.

Quicker than before, but still takes longer than it should imo. MS recieved and replaced it on Wednesday, yet it didn't move from Frankfurt until yesterday.

Well mine is apparently on its way back, so should have it Monday ish?

If I do that's very impressive. It was collected on Friday.
 
Ugh. My Xbox has developed a fault. Not the RROD, but the network port is knackered. Tried different cables, tried resetting the router, the modem and the console, tried different routers. Still no luck. There's not even a light on my Linksys router for the cable going to the Xbox.

Sat awaiting a call back from MS now... 72 bleeding hours. Least I can still play games albeit offline.

This happened to mine mate I'm not sure why it happened I've had to resort to getting a wireless adapter after riposoft asked me to pay £70 odd to repair the damn thing. How old is your system?
 
Finally had an xbox die on me :(

Just turned it on for a game of worms and he's blinking 1 red eye at me. E74 error. :mad:
