*** The Official Nintendo Switch 2 ***

256 should realistically be the base but can fully see Nintendo being Nintendo and go with 128.

I have a 512 card in a drawer but want to see how the SD Express card situation fares in the next few months.

I mean there isn't much else they could do with the form factor. Just look at Steam deck, ROG Ally etc. All very similar.

They could have made it more ergonomic like the Steamdeck. They could have added protruded grips like the Steam Deck has. The flat controls of the Switch kills my hands after 15 minutes.

This might be better simply for it's size difference, but there will of course be third party ones.

Shame they haven't given it even some small grips for the rear. They’ve already increased the size by quite a bit over the original, so they may as well have added the extra grips.

Going by the larger size and more subtle colours, they seem to be going after adults more this time, so being a more comfortable device to hold would have been nice.

I think Genki are making some nice grips and other accessories. There will be lots of grips and more for this thing I think.

It's not as if Nintendo don't know what comfort is, look at the Game Cube Pad I think they want a slimmer profile and a lot of people, me included don't find the Switch uncomfortable. I think big grips ala Deck might put some people off so they leave it to the third parties and then people can decide. Who knows!

I'm 39 and this will be the first time in my gaming life that a Nintendo console will be my primary console (PC Primary platform).

1994-1998 SEGA Megadrive
1998-2002 SONY Playstation
2002-2006 SONY Playstation 2 (Nintendo GameCube)
2006-2013 MICROSOFT Xbox 360 (Sony Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii) - Made move to PC gaming as primary platform in 2011
2013-2020 SONY Playstation 4 (Nintendo Switch)
2020-2024 SONY Playstation 5
2025-???? NINTENDO Switch 2 - Sold PS5 in August 2024 as I never really played it and I'm more patient to wait for games to come to PC now

Really excited for it. I really hope it sorts the poor performing Switch games through backwards compatibility (For example: 20FPS when using the Ultrahand and poor performance in places like Kakariko Village in TOTK, also the aggressive dynamic resolution in the Xenoblade games)

I'm probably most interested to see how backwards compatibility is handled, I hope there's some way that the enhanced hardware can provide an across the board improvement in performance without much or any work from Devs.
Obviously I accept that enhanced resolutions, etc will need work from devs to enhance a title though.

Unless it manages to have dlss in some form to increase resolution.

Wonder when we'll see Call of Duty brought to the Switch 2; if I recall Nintendo and Microsoft signed an agreement to bring it over as part of the competition concerns when they bought Activision Blizzard.

Portable Warzone would be decent!

i guess there will be a S2 pro controller also...
i imagine the current pro controller will be compatible
I may still buy a theoretical Switch 2 Pro Controller but it would depend on what the features are. I've heard rumors of analogue triggers which from memory I don't believe the current one has
