Matt colours is better. I wish Grey was available here... or Blue... but I settled with Black! At least it's not like White, picking up colours from case protectors!

Oh noes! I'm just about to buy a case. Does that mean my white phone will become the same colour? I may have to find a white case then :/

Where are you guys buying your rock cases from?

Cheapest I've found is this

Someone on the bus managed to smack the phone out of my hand by accident. The screen shattered :(.

At least I have insurance! Can anyone recommend a case to stop this happening in the future that is available in the UK?

I hope you shattered their face! :p

Did you have a case on it? If so, what case? I'll avoid that one:eek:

I thought face-shattering was a bit extreme, but I certainly gave a loud English Tut.

No case on it, but it basically fell in slow mo anyway as it hit the woman's buggy on the way down and there were headphone in. Just an unlucky landing - if force gets transmitted through the corners, it shatters. My old handset got dropped face first very flat onto the floor from much higher once and survived.

So I'm looking for a case that stops force being transmitted through the screen in such a way as to shatter it if the phone lands skew - does that make sense? Obviously nothing can be done if it lands on something uneven, but the reason the iPhone bumper works for example is that it protects the corners and comes out slightly over the screen.

Anyone know when the ottorbox defender is coming out?

I've just bought the Case mate Tough case and it lips over the screen perfectly. The One pet peeve im having about WP8 is the lack of Facebook messenger, The built in messenger is useless unless you want to stay visible 24/7 and messaging through the app is cumbersome to say the least.

Another option is the Incipio DualPro case. It's a black dual skin silicon/hard shell case which stands proud of the screen. It's v nice quality and it makes the phone toddler proof so now I'm not TOO precious when the little one is using kids corner. I got it from ebay US and it worked out at about £16. It was either that or the otterbox commuter and this has had some really good comments on forums and is half the otterbox price.

What's wrong with the messenger? You can go offline when you're done... No?

So...when you're offline you're annoyed you don't receive any messages?

Right...

well I don't see whats strange with this as ios and android seem to handle push notifications in messenger perfectly fine. It's pretty bizarre that you don't find this a limitation.
