Has anyone tried the Nokia Universal CR-123 Mobile Phone Holder with their 920?

I've always used Brodit mounts, but need to try something cheaper and this has the benefit of taking my wife's phone too.

This is one of the best mounts I've owned. It fits the 920 perfect and attaches strongly (lever release so adjustable).

Looks better than the picture too, quality item :) (yes I am pleased with it).

Someone from Nokia talked about how they are rolling it out, so that makes even less sense how many weeks has this been available?...theirs real annoyance now growing amongst users on other forums etc about that state this is in, this isnt even a big update, its some minor tweaks, even stateside they are not getting rolled out to the phones properly.

Its coming soon, last time I looked. That's better than the reply I had from Barclay's when I tweeted them.

Lloyds TSB isn't any better...

@SeeJayThinks Hi I'm AH. Thanks for your tweet. We’re looking at ways to improve Mobile Banking for our customers across different devices.

@SeeJayThinks We'll tweet any updates. In the meantime, log on via your mobile's browser for the same Mobile Banking features as the app.^AH

Might as well say IDGAF, go use your mobile browser. I am not too bothered, just annoyed other banks are making an effort but the big ones here (in the UK) are doing the BBC, favouring one platform regardless of market share.

That said, Lloyds TSB mobile banking site, pinned to my page isn't bad...

2 months on and I still regret going for this phone. Evens die hard fan of 920s at work is now looking to shop his in due to the update fiasco. Because we are in NZ the text messages appear 12 hours in the future. Its infuriating as if you receive a text in the afternoon all it shows is tomorrows date. Thus is fixed in portico but MS and Nokia simply don't seem bothered about trying to win customers. Its really absurd how they have such a small market share but make no effort at all! They deserve to fail in my opinion and I will not be surprised when they do.

There are so many bad things about this phone I just wish I had gone for the Nexus 4 or iOS device. The user experience on both are much better as I have owned both before getting this phone.

actually its not an MS issue but rather the cellular network issue....for both problems you describe.

take a plain basic phone and do what you are doing with the text/date thing. the problem is still there. always has been.

I got fed up of waiting and updated the phone using the latest version of the Nokia care centre software. The software recognised my phone model (EE in the UK, saw that it was 'out of date', automatically downloaded the correct firmware when i selected recovery. Then i booted up the included multi update software (part of the care suite) and it automatically flashed the phone from 'on' when i clicked on 'refurbish'. I didn't have to mess around putting it into recovery mode. It was completely painless, unlike my previous efforts trying to get Orange or Nokia to take responsibility for the premium phone they'd just sold me.

LOVE the hardware and love many of the core features of the OS, many of the apps are clunky though.

I certainly don't regret the purchase, just wish someone would take responsibility for the product. Apple always do.

Lol? I have had many phones since moving to NZ (Galaxy S, S2, S3, iPhone 4/4S, Nokia N81) and NONE of them exhibited the same problem. It's a recognised bug in the phone's software and there is a specific fix for it for people this side of the world.

The fact it was released months ago but still not available speaks volumes about how Nokia treat their customers. There is no way you can defend that! Google (for their Nexus range) and Apple have no such issues with releases.

actually crapple have a lot of issues :) (im being fair, not a fanboy)

I find your comment about the date thing interesting as older phones I have (even with the Windows Mobile software) have had the same problem....
