^ That is as I expected, out of HTC, Samsung, and Nokia right now Samsung has the changes hype/fan base. I think all the amazing things in the 920 won't be more improtant to the end user. Right now its either Apple or Samsung, no one else matters as much as those. Which shows right here, Samsung phone has 0 effort, is the worst build out of the 3, worst looking, yet 51% of people want it.

The one main different here is the OS, I believe the Lumia 920 is going to sell well.

Who cares when they came out? Someone in the top-end of the phone market is looking squarely at the iPhone and Samsung GS3 (and possibly the Note II). That is exactly the market Nokia is going into with the 920. Which average consumer in their right mind is going to pick a Nokia over an iPhone or Galaxy? These people care far more about if the phone runs Instagram and Angry Birds and Draw With Friends than they do the UI/UX.

While I do agree, people do buy from a trusted brand. However, I think one thing that's getting overlooked here I think is the resellers themselves. I know from personal experience when people going into CPW for example they are normally recommended straight away a iPhone and then failing that a Android device.

I feel pretty well integrated with Windows 7 + Android + Dropbox. What do you mean by native? In the way you can save directly to SkyDrive from within say Office 2013? Big deal. I'd prefer the two clicks to do Save As and then select my Dropbox folder than get locked into SkyDrive (or iCloud etc.). Oh and Quickoffice on Android has Dropbox integration and it's generally a better app than Office for WP7.5!

I believe the point edgedemon was trying to make is SkyDrive in integrated in to WP7.5, anything you do from uploading Office docs to uploading photos can be done normally in less than 2 clicks, normally just one rather than using a application which is downloaded from the market place. Also with SkyDrive you get more space out the box, which I believe is 7GB vs the 2GB on Dropbox.

Don't get me wrong, I like Drop box and I do use it now and again. However, with SkyDrive its just easier to use, and I guess that the point the poster was trying to make above.

The problem I find with Android is it just on the whole feels very disjointed, that's my personal opinion.

Is Yellow too girly?

For me, was going to be Yellow or White. Though white is just.... too boring... samsung and iPhones are white!

I don't think the yellow is girly personally, well its ether that or Cyan like my 800 at the moment but I fancy a change.

Lumia 920 pre-orders performing well in France and Italy

The Lumia 920 has gradually become available for pre-order through retailers and the like, but we've not yet been able to confirm globally what carriers will be stocking Windows Phones, except for those who have made the information publicly available. As for the number of pre-orders that have taken place, well ... that's another piece of information that we don't possess.

Fortunately, NokiaPowerUser has noticed some positive signs on both the French Phone House and Italian NStore websites. According to Phone House's top 50 mobile phones chart the Lumia 920 is the champion, and at NStore the Windows Phone is no longer available (sold out).

P4U have the 920 up on their site, but only for registering an interest..
CW have the 820 up - but no sign of the 920
Expansys, handtech and clove have the 920 for preorder, but no sign of the cyan version anywhere
Im going to wait another week, if there is no sign of the cyan, I will pre-order from one of the 3 as I don't want to miss out getting one waiting for CW/P4U to list in the hope of getting a bundle deal..

Really wish I could find the cyan listed somewhere as that is the one I want - nokia have teased with pictures, but no-one seems to have any..

I noticed that about P4U / CPW.

What's the safest beat Expansys, Handtech or Clove?

On a different note, I noticed the French version of CPW are bundling wireless chargers with the L920

It amazes me how stupid Nokia are with this phone, why can't they release a price to UK stores?

Its out of Nokia's hands to be honest, as Windows Phone 8 is unveiled to the world on October 29th (5PM in London). At which point I am guess we will have a lot more information, you'll probably find most places are on a NDA till that date.

Indeed, I really don't now how it will go, one hand it will be like OMG 4g, but then another it might be stupidly expensive and put off most people. I hope they have 3g/4g contracts to keep things competitive, not for me as I tend to get sim free but for the mainstream user.

I'd rather remain on Vodafone, to be honest so I am mainly looking at sim-free phones. So i may have to order one from Europe, if they are only on orange.

They replied and said they can't tell me and to keep checking their website.

I wrote a rather angry reply, not that it make a bit of difference. It's a shame there's nothing quite as good as the 920 or I'd go elsewhere.

I am guessing they are under NDA from MS still.
