Phones 4 U will be doing the whole range, but I imagine they will ship on different dates and the more utilitarian colours will be made first.

I am going down to P4U today at lunch to find out some more information, i will report back once I have a update.

Been a while since i checked back here, quite disappointed by the way things have turned out Are we likely to still be able to import one from a European shop and put any sim in it though?

I am pretty sure it will be available on the UK simfree, as a number of sites still have it listed. However, it does look like we should have all the information within the next week or two.

Just phoned P4U on Oxford Street and they will be selling them sim free for £469.00 and they should be expecting instock from tomorrow, so I need to phone back tomorrow.

No. They only sell contracts online, when I spoke to them last night.

So I can pop into a store and get one tomorrow? (except I've got to take my car in for an MOT at lunchtime, doh).

I'd ring your local stock, just to double check first.

So if someone is asking for Android then how is the sales person going to turn them onto Windows Phone instead?

I'd take a guess at commission?

I have just pre-ordered a yellow 920 from P4U for £459.00, I should be able to collect it from tomorrow or Friday.

P4U get the exclusive..theirs nothing even on the front page of their website about it.

The website is rubbish, as it only sells contract phone. I have just been into P4U on Tottenham Court Rd (Left a deposit) who already had a number of equerries for it.

In store, as online is for new contracts only.

Which Oxford Street Branch as there are 2, was it the one nearest Bond Street tube?
If they are accepting deposits, I will pop down there in a while and reserve a grey one..

Will EE handsets be locked, Orange from memory sim lock there handsets?

After speaking to P4U, they are only doing the red or yellow SIM free

That's ok for me

When have people been told P4U / CPW will have the phone sim free?

(P4U) Mines due Thursday or Friday, CPW will not stock the 920.

I did speak to Handtek before going into P4U and they confirmed they will be getting the sim free Lumia 920, so it maybe worth giving them a ring. I know they said ring back on Friday for some more information.

Phones4U are doing SIM free, but only in yellow and maybe red depending on who you talk to...

The odd thing is was I was asked what colour id like and its even got that on my receipt.

I logged onto Phones4U twitter feed, and if you read up on one of the questions there, they have stated that they won't be selling SIM-Free 920s...

Phones4U "our Lumia 920's will not be suitable for customers wishing to purchase SIM free as they're all locked to @EE. Sorry!"...

Someone "what? Is that true? I went to your Crawley store and asked about it and they said it would be unlocked"

Phones4U "Hi, unfortunately this won't be unlocked no. We're sorry that you've been misinformed by our store staff! Thanks, Liz"

What's going on? Guess we'll have to wait a few days more!

That's not what I was told today, I guess ill find out in a few days.

Miffed?...id headbutt the man who thinks such a lockdown approach is a good idea!?

God knows..... Who's every idea it was needs to loose there job.

I can't believe how much bad press EE are getting over there new network.

Very very odd situation. That pic I got earlier shows they are or at least were looking at selling it SIM free, either that other whoever gets the in store material organised and printed has massively ****** up.

I am pretty sure it will be the same as CPW, as they will only sell some phones on some network but there PAYG options are all sim free hands. I will make sure I test this before leaving the store.
