**** The Official Note 4 thread ****

They build in an e-fuse which when you modify your phone, i.e. by rooting, is blown and so they can see if you've ever modified your phone and thus refuse to service your phone.
Plenty have had their device repaired under warranty with tripped knox on xda.

Yeah a lot of the time they will fix it anyway even if its been rooted and they can see that...It would be silly not too since they want you to buy again from them in the future and its crazy the amount of rubbish they put on these phones that you can only get rid of by rooting.

Rooting is just unlocking the true potential of your phone really.
Like I can now use the remote play ps4 feature that's only meant for the vita and sony phones but rooting lets you do that.

Just ordered a black note4 from ee, up to 10working days delivery, is there a stock shortage?

Got 2gb data, unlimited calls/texts, £35.99/m and £40 for the handset.

I had bought the xperia z3compact but I'm finding it a bit small after coming from the note2, going to keep the xperia for running/cycling and the note4 as my daily.

I'm away at the moment with very limited internet, but I can get a us note 4 quite cheap, will it work OK in the uk? Anything I should be aware of? Thanks

Mine said up to 7 days, but it arrived two days later. That said, I know someone who works for EE and they reckon the quicker way to get your phone is to order over the telephone.

It will be region locked, if you do not use the phone over in the US on a US carrier first for at least a 5min call, think someone else maybe able to clear that one up.
I'm still looking for a good deal this weekend on a note 4 myself, black friday here and no sign of a note 4 dropping to a least to a price matching giffgaff £569.
Carphone warehouse only dropped there price to £599, same price as tesco price :(

Wife has bought me a note 4 for christmas :D

Can anybody link me to a screen protector that fits properly? I have read that because the screen has curved edges some protectors don't fit well.

Cheers.

Arg! I was hoping that my credit card would arrive in the post today so that I could buy a Note 4 before this current stock runs dry. A certain website's stock has declined by about 60% since this time yesterday so I don't expect it to last much longer before I have to wait even more.

Really can't cope with this HTC One battery drain any longer.

Has anybody tried the Samsung smart dock with the Note 4? is it fully functioning?

I'm looking for a charging dock, been looking at the Samsung Smart Dock and it seems full of features, i'm particularly interested in the ability to run it through HDMI, would be good if i could hook up a mouse and keyboard through the USB ports on the dock and use it like a mini PC, can anybody confirm if this is possible or not?

Are there any better docking stations you guys can recommend?

Argh! I phoned and cancelled the Argos order ages ago, and now they are sending me messages that it'll be delivered next week!

Their website is currently too busy for me to get access to and I cba with phoning them up again to be put on hold for an hour, and then get through to someone to be told I'm through to the wrong department even though I called the number it states on the website and selected the correct options when prompted, and then put on hold for another half hour!

Just filled out their form online to cancel and will refuse delivery if it is attempted.

I would phone them up ASAP.

I ordered the Note4 from them online also, on November 8th. Cancelled it a day later via a phonecall to customer services because the accounts section on their website is next to to useless. A day later £600 taken out of my account so about 3 more calls proceeded and still no refund. This morning I got the same text stating it would be delivered on the 3rd December!

I went into a blind rage as I'd received the Note4 from GiffGaff who actually had it in stock ages ago. 15minutes on hold today and I got through to a nice chap in CS who states that my account was flagged with cancellation notes on 5 occasions and nothing had been done so he apologised and contacted the store/warehouse immediately. Got to wait 2-3 days now to see if I get my money back.

GiffGaff were one of the few places in early November to have SIM free stocks.

Yes. I ordered from Argos on the 8th only to receive an email stating that they'd be in touch with a delivery date in a few weeks (I wanted one asap). Then on this thread someone mentioned getting theirs from GiffGaff in a few days. Phoned up Argos to cancel my order and then ordered the phone off GG and it was delivered to me in 2 days. I already have a number of online accounts with GG so ordering was a piece of cake and I think the phone is £570 now too. Absolutely brilliant delivery speed and they can't be faulted in that regard.

Can't believe you can't even view orders let alone cancel them on the argos website once you make an account. I mean, what year is it?!
