**** The Official Note 4 thread ****

its extremely pix-elated Gear VR and looks nothing like the video you see on screen in the videos around. As much as I loved the experience this is what spoilt it. The video below is from Oculus Rift 2 on pc but the kind of pixels you are going to see is very similar to this, leaving it windowed and full rez.

When you watch the video above it looks amazing quality but really isn't, I got rid of mine sadly even the note 4's screen isn't high resolution enough, maybe on the S6 it will look good.

This might be an abomination for most of you but I love my 10k mAH ZL on note 3 so had to get it on note 4 also.
Been using it for a couple of days now as I'm using it for sat nav and entertainment when at work it does make it literally a brick!
Some pics, the metal plate is for my car mount and also for my work van. Instant locked in and out.

EDIT: Does anyone know a good tempered glass without halo effect which is reasonable priced.

My note4 should be here in a day or two.

One thing that delayed my upgrade is the fact that there weren't any decent phones with hardware keyboards. I gave up hope a while back.

Does anyone own a keyboard case for the note4 and can recommend?

Thanks

If i got a new phone contract can I PAC code to the same network then cancel my old contract?

Upgrading is more expensive so getting a new contract seems the better options, some advise would be great

5.0.1 ok for me, loaded with odin, and cfautoroot afterwards.
Battery ok, but I tend not to have 4g on unless I need it, and location on when I need it.
Missing xposed though. Hope it can be fixed soon.

Had mine for a few days now.
Screen protected with Tech 21 Impact Shield.
Fitted it with a wireless charging back.
Still managed to squeeze it into a Tech21 case. :)

just installed 5.0.1 on mine. if the battery life isnt any better than i can always root and install a custom rom. Dont want to have to root it yet, though

Remember to factory reset too before going root.

I'd be interested in what you think about TW LP over KK. Many improvements?

Not had a lot of time with it but everything looks a lot more coherent. Animations are slicker, everything is quicker. Keyboard looks better. Had some issues initially with the play store but a cache clear solved that.

Don't know if battery life will be any different yet but it certainly looks good and feels pretty slick :)

Not sure about the floating notifications though. Need to see if I can change that!

KK to LP for me has been quite a big difference for battery life, plus everything just seems a lot more responsive and slicker.

I am considering rooting and flashing a rom but I currently don't have any problems with how it's performing on stock surprisingly

Well what a deal on mobiles.co.uk Unlimited text,mins 5GB 4G Data £31.99

Hmmm it's OK I guess, total cost over 2 years is £722.76. Unlimited sim only deals run around £168 for those two years (or my Virgin Media one does anyway), making the effective handset cost £555, which ain't that great.
