****The Official Note III Thread****

Took the plunge and bought one...

Quite like the look of the official Samsung S View with Wireless charging, but rather pricey at almost £50. Anyone have any experience of them?

I have one I love it, no need to pay £50, I got an original from a reputable seller on eBay for £35. Look for product id 400606975351 on eBay and you'll find it ;)

Well, it's not mentioned anywhere in the listing, so I would be very surprised.

I really like the idea of the S View case, but I've also ordered a Brodit car mount, which wouldn't work with the case on. With the case actually replacing the back, it's not so easy to simple take it from the case and put it in the car mount :(

OMG shhhh, they're right there.... he means the rain forest. None of us shop at the A place.

Yeah? Okay, cool. How about links to it?

'As you know OcUK are in the computer hardware business and therefore the promotion of OcUK's competitors is forbidden.'

However, OcUK are not in the phone business, so you can link to anyone who sells phones.

I bought the S-View Cover for my Note - not quite as cheap as Amazon, but £37.50 in town from O2 shop.....and love it - very useful, to be able to see notifications etc., and answer calls without opening up.
Some of the reviews on Amazon had me a little worried about whether the items are genuine.....and O2 guy's price was not too shabby against RRP at the time
Still, recommend the case based on my short ownership - it is not the wireless charging variant, but wasn't important to me.

My Note 3 has arrived! I'm currently on XXUDMJ6... will I have any problems flashing ROM's?

What ROM's do people suggest, I'd probably like to keep the Samsung extra's like camera and stylus bits.

Thanks.

Huh?

What's that got to do with anything? He's not on a custom ROM and it makes no difference if he is since only AOSP is affected (as in, you can't go AOSP for now if you update to KitKat).

Yeah the only other ROMs will be AOSP based and they are in a handful. "Custom ROM" is a vague term at best.

Most people want to keep the Samsung features (S-Pen apps etc) so will be installing custom ROMs based on Samsung builds. If they are using anything else they will be aware of the bootloader problem anyway.

Downloading a 400+mb package now :D
I have a Nexus 4/5/7 for messing around with custom roms so this is totally stock Sammy device.
Looking forward to KitKat on it as the phone already totally rocks.
