****The Official Note III Thread****

I've got the same problem, "Android OS" draining my battery.

Anyway to stop this ?

As a short term aid, rebooting the phone after it is removed from the charger seems to help. For me at least it seems to be an issue with the kernel staying awake after the charging lead is removed. Reading XDA it seems this issue is a Samsung kernel problem so we will have to sit tight and wait for the kitkat update.

Having a problem with my Galaxy Gear, I haven't used it in a few days and went to put it on the charge last night. The screen flashed once, so quick I'm not quite sure what screen showed but it looked like the default charging screen when you normally plug it in.

I was not able to turn it on, and after leaving it for a few hours and still not able to turn it on. So I left it to charge fully overnight, came to it this morning and still nothing! The micro USB cable is providing power as it can charge my phone. I've moved it to my desk to charge now and I've just seen the screen flicker once again (image looked like the fully charged battery). I've taken it out of the dock and the power button does nothing?

Any of you experienced this or have any ideas?

My note 3 is boiling hot to the point where a full charge lasts 2 hours even when I don't do anything and it in mu pocket. I am fed up I am taking it to a service centre tomorrow.

Been running Temasek CM11 for the last 2 days, only issue so far was a few force closes with LightFlow earlier today but not had any since updating to V36 when I got home from work.

It's awesome isn't it? I've got 1d 17h 45m since charge, 2 hours of screen time and 49% battery left, truly amazing.

Just upgraded from the original note to one of these and was wondering if anyone knows of a lightweight ASOP rom that is any good, TIA.

I'm @ 21% 3hrs screen on time 13hrs on battery. I have been messing with a lot of things and PayPal decided to wakelock my phone for an hour at some point so not figures to go by but it certainly seems to be good on battery life, more importantly I have AOSP back in my life :p

I really want to install the sweet rom but can anyone tell me what this means
USERS WITH NEE REGION DEVICES SHOULD NOT FLASH THIS

what is nee?

i'm not a complete noob at this but this note 3 flashing seems very confusing

i have a vodafone note 3 4.3 with baseband n9005xxudmj7

not fussed about warranty.

You'll be fine, just make sure to flash the new bootloader aswell else you'll be stuck at the samsung startup logo.

Where's the best place to get these sim free atm? Looking at the big rainforest place they seem to be cheapest but some people seem to not be getting European handsets? Has anyone got any idea if its reliable to get one from them?
