Being a large battery, if using a laptop or low power USB mains adapter it will charge slowly. The supplied USB charger is 2 amps, 4 times more than most normal USB ports will deliver.

I've upgraded my car chargers and mains chargers to make sure the phone fast charges, and the upside is all my other stuff now we charges quicker..
 
Definitely the charger provided is charging the phone , I'm fairly sure the charger she normally uses is 2amp , it's behind the bed but certainly worth a check. The strange thing is it has been fine, this has only started happening over the last few days

I can upgrade or buy outright now and I'm so tempted to get a Note 3, the large screen is giving me the come hither eyes!

.....must resist and wait for the new HTC One and Z2 reviews!

only thing to get used to is size

I love my Iphone and IOS - but fancied a change after 4 years - and a "slightly larger and much faster 5s" didn't float my boat
 
A very bad day, ended up dropping my phone and it fell down a flight of stairs onto concrete ground. Needless to say the screen has been smashed in, well gutted.

The phone still works but I won't be able to use it like this for much longer
 
You aiming to repair it yourself or take it into the various stores that now do it, I assume your warranty doesn't cover it?

Was tempted but would need to see it in person first. I'm contemplating getting this repaired or not or claiming on home insurance first.

Haha actually the S5 design has started to grow on me tbh, but I'd need to see it in the flesh to make a judgement call on it.
 
just found a good trick - after considering driving to work to get my USB3 note charger did a google search to find you can charge via usb2 - you just use the right hand part on the connector on phone :)

That's not really a trick though, been the case for all micro USB 3 devices:p

My battery drain is fixed, it was the whatsapp media being backed up on to the SD card.
Currently looking at 68% left after 15 hours 28 minutes.
